This was the first song I wrote that I really thought I nailed. Sung from the perspective of eight-year-old Takeru, it's obviously supposed to be encouraging and moving. Therefore, I can't spare on the lyrics. I feel that the both choruses represent some of my best work ever. It took awhile for me to be convinced that the second verse was really solid, but in a certain metaphorical sense, it works pretty well.

Be All Right

I wake up again. I feel like I'm still in a dream.
Another day, another smile.
I hear of the things, and all that's darkening the whole world.
Another day with a smile.

I could wish for magic that would save the Earth.
But I know the only thing I need to have.

Sure there are times we cry and times that I think it's too much to go on.
Times of pain and times of rain, and times without a dawn.
But throughout the hex, throughout this vexing world of endless night.
I believe, might be naive, but with hope I know I'll be all right.

On top of the world, where I can almost touch the sky.
A sky that's watching over all.
I pray to the sky, and wish the clouds would go away.
And let the sun touch it all.

Does it make a difference if I make that prayer?
I know I'll be smiling when tomorrow comes.

Tomorrow we'll have sun and we'll have fun, and I'll go toward all my dreams.
Staying bright, I see the light, despite how dark it seems.
Won't you take my hand and take a stand, let your demons all take flight.
Keep a smile, might take a while but I know, it all will be all right.

Tomorrow we'll have sun and we'll have fun, and I'll go toward all my dreams.
Staying bright, I see the light, despite how dark it seems.
Won't you take my hand and take a stand, let your demons all take flight.
Keep a smile, might take a while but I know, we all will be all right.
