Previously on Survivor...

Light (v/o): The sixteen castaways arrived on the Grand Line. Sanosuke and Sena were selected to pick the two tribes, and while Sanosuke selected the ones he felt were strongest...

Sanosuke: When I picked my tribe, I decided I wanted only the strongest on it.

Light (v/o): ...Sena tried to make a tribe that would get along.

Sena: I talked a little bit with Ippo on the way here, and I think he's a great guy.

Light (v/o): The new Skypeia tribe was immediately hit hard, with devastating weather and a boat accident.

(The younger girls scream as the boat is tilted sideways, causing water to leak in. With a crash, the canoe capsizes, leaving the eight survivors in the ocean a dozen metres from shore.)

Light (v/o): While over at Baroque, things fared better. Sanosuke and Mitsuko forged a bond...

Mitsuko: I'm afraid that I'm going to be the first one voted off.

(Mitsuko sniffles, tears springing to her eyes. Sanosuke quickly hugs her.)

Sanosuke: You are strong Mitsuko... and I won't let that happen to you.

Light (v/o): ...and asked Ryo to ally with them. Over at Skypeia, Ippo, Konoka, Sena, and Mitsuki bonded and formed their own alliance. At the immunity challenge, Mitsuki panicked and cost her team the challenge.

(Eventually, Sanosuke gets it, while a hysterical Mitsuki fails to light her wet torch. Raising it above his head, Sanosuke slowly and confidently crosses the bridge, before finally stepping onto the mat with the rest of Baroque.)

Light (on screen): That's it. Baroque wins immunity.

Light (v/o): Back at camp, Nodoka rallied against Mitsuki.

Nodoka: Why shouldn't we vote out Mitsuki? She's useless, she's lazy, and she's got too many friends. If we don't get rid of her now, we'll never be able to.

Light (v/o):However, Yoh and Saki saw Nodoka as too aggressive and dominating, so at tribal council, she became the first person voted out of the game.

Light (v/o):Fifteen are left. Who will be voted out tonight?

DAY 3

Sykpeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(The snow is still coming down lightly as the tribe canoe drifts onto the beach. The crew is mostly silent, except for Yoh, who is quietly humming “The Wicked Witch Is Dead”. They walk into camp laying their torches down.)

Mitsuki: Well that was... uglier than I would have hoped.

Konoka: Me, I was hoping it would be more tribal. Like, maybe some facepaints, and a chant and stuff.

(Saki and Ed, aka the sensible ones, sweatdrop.)

Saki: You sure know how to ruin a fearful atmosphere.

Konoka: Thank you!

(The tribe lays down in their shelter.)

Konoka: I'm so psyched that our group is going to stay together!

Saki: I'm still not sure if I made the right decision tonight... but the tribe is a lot quieter without Nodoka here. Sure, we're starting to get on each others' nerves, but it's not outright fighting.

Mitsuki: Let's get some sleep. Wake me up if Nodoka comes back looking for revenge.

Edward: All right.

(A beat.)

Edward: And would you STOP HUMMING, Yoh?

Yoh (glibly): I'm not humming.

* * *

DAY 4

Baroque Tribe (Summer Island)

(The sun rises over the tribe beach, slowly waking the eight castaways of Baroque. Sanosuke sits up, stretching his arms.)

Sanosuke: Well, time for another glorious day.

Ryo (groggy): Not talky time. Still sleep time. (He gets up and wanders down the beach, where he sees Lee and Rukia standing opposite each other, in fighting stances. Sitting and watching are Mitsuko and Leorio.)

Leorio: Twenty on the kid with the bowl-cut.

Mitsuko: You're on.

Sanosuke: Hey, guys! No fighting! It's against the rules.

Lee: We're just sparring.

Rukia: I asked Lee if he could teach me some of his moves. I decided that I don't want to be helpless the next time someone decides I need to be executed.

Sanosuke: Is that... okay?

(Lee turns and points towards the camera.)

Lee: Oh yeah, I asked this guy and he said we could.

Rukia: We're not supposed to acknowledge the cameramen exist, remember?

Lee: Oh, right. Well then, are you ready for lesson one?

Rukia: You're on!

Sanosuke: This I've gotta see.

(There's a brief stand-off, as both combatants remain in their stances. Finally, Rukia attacks with a high kick, which Lee blocks. He fluidly launches into a combination, which Rukia manages to block with her hands and some narrow dodging.)

Leorio (frowning): He's going slow.

(Rukia is slowly being backed into the water by the onslaught of strikes. Seeing an opening, she darts her hand forward... and Lee grabs it. With her main blocking appendage taken care of, he hits her with a light kick to the jaw and topples her over.)

Leorio: Yay Lee! Now pay up, Miss Souma.

Mitsuko (sniffling, playing up the “cute victim”): It's not fair... I didn't know what to do, and I just decided to agree... I'm not used to stuff like this! I can't afford it!

Sanosuke: Hey, back off man. Mitsuko isn't part of your gambling ring.

Leorio: But...

Mitsuko: Thanks, Sano-kun!

Leorio: Mitsuko is not a dumb girl. But whenever Sanosuke's around, she acts like a vacant blonde. It's so transparent that I'm surprised nobody's called her on it.

Mitsuko: Some of the people on my tribe are too smart to fall for the bimbo act, so I've decided to let the mask slip a bit around them... just to make them think they've got me figured out. Of course, that's as much of an image as the one I give to Sano and Ryo.

(Rukia is slowly getting up, making sure she's all in one piece.)

Rukia: Sheesh. I said to take it easy.

Lee: I was.

Rukia: Whatever. What was I supposed to pick up from that, anyway?

Lee: Your fighting style. You are far too defensive. I gave you plenty of openings when I was attacking, and you did not take them.

Rukia: Yeah, I guess. I was just worried about not getting hit.

Lee: Ah, but if you had struck, you would not have been hit.

(On the ground, Sanosuke snorts.)

Sanosuke: I could totally take that kid.

Leorio: Well, he's right there if you want to try.

Sanosuke: ...not on an empty stomach.

* * *

Skypeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(The morning on Baroque is unhampered by precipitation, although it's still cloudy. The tribe got up early due to the natural alarm clock named Mitsuki, and are currently getting organized.)

Konoka: Okay, so what needs to be done for today?

Edward: We're running out of food, and we haven't had any fruit since we came to the island. Knowing the theme, we'll probably get scurvy.

Ippo: Okay, somebody needs to go into the jungle and find some fruit.

Mitsuki: I'll do it!

Konoka: I'll come with you!

(Ed rolls his eyes, but Ippo just smiles at Mitsuki.)

Mitsuki: I said I would work, and I'm going to work.

Saki: Konoka and Mitsuki are very close – I'd swear those girls were attached at the hip. Mitsuki and Ippo are kind of crushing on each other – it's really cute. All of this means that those three are pretty much inseperable. Sena is the only weak link of that alliance.

(Mitsuki and Konoka leave, heading off into the jungle together, chatting quietly.)

Ippo: We also need someone to get water...

Sena: I'll do that, I can get back quickly...

Ippo: Someone to get firewood, and keep the fire going...

Saki: I guess I can do it...

Ippo: And cooking and fishing.

Edward: You've got the Automail Chef champion right here.

Ippo: I guess that leaves me for fishing. I'll be down by the shore in case anyone needs me.

Saki: Alright... say, aren't we missing someone?

(They look around, only to discover that Yoh has vanished from the tribal meeting.)

Ippo: Oh well. He'll turn up eventually.

(The tribe sets off, starting to work on their designated tasks. Yoh is nowhere to be seen.)

* * *

(It turns out Yoh is in the woods, whittling away at a tree with a particularly sharp rock. Konoka walks by.)

Konoka: Hey, Yoh! We were looking for you!

Yoh: I have completed my masterpiece.

Konoka: Masterpiece?

(Yoh points to the tree, where an evenly drawn dartboard has been carved into the wood.)

Konoka: Darts?

Yoh: Yeah! I think its time we had some fun on this island! Now, are you up to the game!

Konoka: Sure! Where are the darts?

Yoh: Uh... I was thinking we could use spears.

(Konoka crouches down and glares at the “dartboard”.)

Konoka: No thanks. I'll just glare daggers at it.

Yoh: ...okay.

Edward: Yoh keeps finding new ways to dodge work... just today, he spent all this time making the dartboard, but he can't work up the energy to go get water. It's like he thinks this is a vacation.

Konoka: Yoh is a funny guy... he's great to have as a friend, but maybe not so much as a tribemate.

* * *

Baroque Tribe (Summer Island)

(The other tribe has also gotten to work, although with all eight members contributing they have less to do. Leorio, the tribe's designated cook, is cheerily trying to spice up rice with what little they have, but it's not doing much. Maya wanders by, carrying an armful of firewood.)

Leorio: Hey, Maya! Do you remember if these berries are poisonous or not?

Maya: Dunno.

Leorio: Eh, what are the chances?

(Leorio squeezes some berry juice onto the rice as Maya drops off her firewood in the stack. She wanders down the beach, until she finds Sanosuke, perched on the shore and observing the fishes that go by. He holds a spear in one hand, ready to strike at any moment.)

Maya: Sanosuke.

Sanosuke: Yeah, what is it?

Maya: I want to talk to you. About the alliance.

Sanosuke: What alliance?

(Sanosuke tenses up, but remains turned towards the water. Maya rolls her eyes.)

Maya: Don't play dumb with me. The one with you, Mitsuko, and Ryo.

(Sano opens his mouth to respond, but before he can Lee blurs through the campsite, a green whirlwind.)

Lee: Challenge! Challenge! There's a reward challenge!

(Lee blurs past them, proclaiming the challenge to everything in earshot.)

Maya: ...you know, if that wasn't Lee, I might be worried he heard us talking.

Sanosuke: Oh, I'm sure he heard us. He just doesn't quite understand it.

* * *

Skypeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(The smaller tribe has also received their summons... and the item that came with it.)

Ippo: So last week we got random stuff... this week we get a stretcher? Is there supposed to be a pattern or something?

Edward: I just want to know if we have to take it there. That'll be a hassle to take in the canoe.

Konoka: What do you think the challenge is? Extreme ER?

Sena: We probably need to rescue someone... that'll take someone who's light and easy to carry.

Mitsuki: Ooh! Me!

Saki: I knew we kept you around for a reason!

Saki: The tribe has been getting along a lot better since Nodoka left. I don't feel like an outsider anymore, and I think we're all on the same page... if we need teamwork for the challenge, we'll do much better than last time.

Sena: Hey guys... let's do what we did on the last challenge.

Edward: Lose?

Sena: No, the chant.

Ippo: Sure, everyone put their hands in the middle.

(Everyone gathers in the circle, some reluctantly, and put their hands – ranging from Mitsuki's small ones to Ed's automail arm – into the middle.)

Sena: WE'RE GONNA KILL THEM!

* * *

Challenge Beach (Spring Island)

(This time, both tribes get to the challenge on time, with Sykpeia filing in minutes after Baroque. Light is standing in front of a motorboat, with something on it under a cloth.)

Light: Baroque, this is the new Skypeia tribe, missing Nodoka.

(A few members of Baroque look surprised – most don't care.)

Light: All right, first thing I want to ask... did you guys bring the stretchers you received in treemail with you?

Lee: Yosh! I carried it myself!

Ippo: Good thing we thought to bring it.

Light: You'll need those for the challenge. (pauses) You know, we really should have mentioned that. No, but we need to have the symbolic treemail... I mean... good job, thinking to bring them here.

Konoka: Okay!

Light: One member of your tribe will be your passenger, and the other six have to carry them around the island on the stretcher.. It's a small circular path... about a mile or so.

(A lot of groans from the survivors.)

Light: Suck it up, because it gets worse. On your path, there are five spots marked with an “X”. At each spot, one of your team members will have to stop and stay there. By the time you get to the end, only one will be carrying the passenger. You don't have to use the stretcher, but if the passenger's body touches the ground at any time, you'll have to go back to the last “X”. Understand?

(They all slowly nod.)

Light: Want to know what you're playing for?

Leorio: Actually, I prefer the anticipation of mystery.

Light: It was a rhetorical question.

(Light whips off the cloth, revealing a tub of water, various soaps and shampoos, deoderant, toothpaste and toothbrush, shaving razors and gel, and various other hygeine supplies.)

Light: Everything you need for bathing, and keeping up appearances. A little bit of home comfort out on the islands.

Mitsuko: ...oh my god. We have to win this challenge.

Cagalli (snarky): You would need this reward, wouldn't you?

Light: Worth playing for?

(The general response seems to be “yes”.)

Light: All right them. Let's pick positions and get started.

* * *

Light: All right. Rukia is sitting out this challenge. Mitsuko and Mitsuki are the passengers for their tribes.

(Light blinks.)

Light: This could potentially be very confusing. All right guys, on your marks... get set... go.

(Both tribes surge across the finish line. Of course, the height isn't even, making it a bumpy ride for the girls on the stretchers, who grip the edges for dear life.)

Edward: Light jog, guys! We've got a mile to go!

Sanosuke: Stop elbowing me, Cagalli!

Cagalli: It's not on purpose!

(Skypeia works better together, and they move at a smooth rate, while there are diffferent speeds and choppy turns on Baroque. Skypeia takes the lead, and the gap starts to widen.)

Sanosuke: Everyone, HUSTLE!

(Baroque starts running, and begin catching up to Skypeia. They reach the first “X”, and Konoka leaves, sitting down on the spot as her tribe continues on, Mitsuki dipping slightly to the side. Baroque passes by moments later, and Sanosuke tells Cagalli to leave. She does so reluctantly, and Sano rests the back of the stretcher on his shoulders.)

Light: Both tribes down to five carriers, and Skypeia with a slight lead.

(Skypeia hustles forward, although one side is taking more weight than the other. Baroque continues hustling, and reaches their opponents. Sanosuke smirks as they run past.)

Sanosuke: See you guys at the finish line.

Light: Baroque, takes lead. Again.

Edward: Shit....

(Baroque gets their lead, and reach the second “X”. Leorio ducks out, wiping his brow, and the tribe continues on, one person on each corner of the stretcher. Moments later, Leorio is joined by Saki of Skypeia as they pass by.)

Light: Down to four. Baroque, starting to slow down!

Ryo: No we're not! Get some eyes!

Light: Hey, let me do my job and I'll let you do yours.

(Indeed, the larger tribe is starting to get tired from their quick pace, and decide to slow it down a notch – they're still moving at about the same rate as Skypeia.)

Ippo: Let's pick it up!

(Baroque passes the third rest stop, and Ryo goes out – Mitsuko is now being carried by Sanosuke, Lee, and Maya. Skypeia rushes by, with Yoh rolling out from underneath.)

Yoh: That was way too much work.

Light: Three! Maya, the last woman left carrying!

(Maya seems to smile at this, although she keeps pumping. Baroque is beginning to tire, however, and carrying more of the stretcher between them is tough. Skypeia, now in a row, are definitely gaining on them.)

Sena: Come on! HUSTLE!

(Skypeia runs through and... passes Baroque! Ed just smirks as they run by and reach the fourth “X”. Sena leaves. Baroque arrives shortly afterwards and drops off Maya and the stretcher. Lee and Sanosuke are now carrying Mitsuko on their shoulders.)

Light: Baroque, abandoning the stretcher! They've got a bit of ground to make up here!

Edward: Maybe we should do that.

(After a bit of running, with their lead shrinking, Ed and Ippo do just that, setting the stretcher down and lifting Mitsuki onto their shoulders. They start running, but stopping to pause has caused Baroque to gain on them. They start running again, with both girls holding onto the two guys' shoulders for dear life.)

Light: Baroque and Skypeia, almost neck-and-neck, as this goes down to one on one. Ippo versus Sanosuke... why am I not surprised?

(Both tribes hit the last X, and Ed and Lee drop off quickly. Sanosuke scoops Mitsuko in his arms, while Ippo carries Mitsuki on his back, her legs scissored around her torso as he gets on. Both are panting with exhaustion, but keep running.)

Mitsuko: Sano, put me on your back. It's easier that way.

Sanosuke: No time...

Mitsuko: Stop being a romantic idiot!

(The finish line looms... Ippo has a slight lead, and both guys are trying to get that one last surge of energy that could make the difference...)

Light: This is tight... might go down to the wire... er, line.

(Sano is lagging a couple of inches behind, feet from the finish line...

...and tosses Mitsuko across, to the sand outside!)

Light: Mitsuko's over! Baroque win immunity!

Ippo: Huh?

Mitsuko: You... threw me!

Sanosuke: Well, we won.

Mitsuko: I guess you have a point.

(Ippo collapses, panting heavily. Mitsuki slides off his back and tries to comfort him. Meanwhile, Baroque celebrates, having all gathered back on the mat. Sanosuke is greeted with hugs from Ryo and Maya.)

Light: Baroque, you've won soap and bath supplies. Skypeia... I've got nothing for you. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Saki: We get it.

Light: Head on back to camp.

(The smaller tribe leaves dejected, having lost two in a row.)

* * *

Baroque Tribe (Summer Island)

(Baroque is cheering and chatting, a very noisy and happy tribe as they reach their beach. Sanosuke climbs out of his boat, pumping his fists.)

Sanosuke: Good job, guys.

(Cagalli and Mitsuko are talking to each other as they get out. Cagalli looks concerned, but Mitsuko is still nonchalant.)

Cagalli: I can't believe he threw you.

Mitsuko: Well, it won us the challenge. See, Sano is smarter than people give him credit for.

Cagalli: Still, you could have gotten hurt.

Mitsuko: Well, I didn't. I've taken worse falls dancing.

Cagalli: You dance?

Mitsuko: When I need some cash.

Cagalli: ...

Mitsuko: Cagalli is here to play the game, and she's probably my biggest threat on the tribe. She seems to have a vendetta against Sanosuke, which is... really unfortunate. Together, we could work wonders. Against each other... well, I'm sorry, but the bitch is going down.

* * *

Skypeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(Freezing rain is falling on the Skypeia tribe, snuffing out any chance of a fire they could get. Edward is still trying to make flames, frustrated, while cold dinner goes uneaten. The rest of the tribe is sitting in the shelter.)

Yoh: This sucks.

Konoka: It's not so bad... at least we don't have to bury anything.

Yoh: What would we bury?

Konoka: Treasure, obviously. Because of the whole pirate thing. Oh, and dead bodies.

Yoh: I can't decide whether you're cute or just creepy.

(Ippo sighs and hangs his head.)

Mitsuki: What's wrong, Ippo?

Ippo: I don't know, it's just that... we lost both of the challenges, and it's pretty miserable around here. I just feel like... maybe we can't beat them.

Mitsuki: Of course we can.

Ippo: Look, I really like this tribe... but I'm looking over it, and I can't help but think that we're outmatched. Baroque has all of the strong people and--

Saki: You're thinking like this after one stupid challenge? I thought you were the unstoppable leader, Ippo.

Ippo: Huh?

Saki: Look, it was a stupid reward challenge for bath stuff. Big deal, I'll have to keep washing my hair without shampoo.

Ippo: Doesn't matter. I tried my hardest out there--

Saki: And you almost won. And now you have motivation to go out there tomorrow an even things up, so you'll be able to do even better.

Ippo: Are you sure?

Saki: No. But it's better than moping.

(The group laughs, the serious moment having now passed them.)

* * *

Baroque Tribe (Winter Island)

(Sanosuke is out hunting, carrying a spear with him – taken from the fishing equipment. He whistles as he walks through the woods, even though dusk is breaking.)

Sanosuke: Come on out, piggies... Sano wants a nice pork roast for supper...

(Maya drops down from a tree above. She's in her child form, so her kimono is comically too large instead of tantalizingly too small.)

Maya: It's getting dark. We don't want you to get lost.

Sanosuke: I'm sure you didn't just come out to call me in.

Maya: Of course not. About the alliance...

Sanosuke: There is no alliance!

Maya: ...I want in.

Sanosuke: Huh?

Maya: I'll be your fourth.

Sanosuke: Well um... of course. That would work.

Maya: Final four?

Sanosuke: That's the plan.

Maya (smiling): Good. Pleasure doing business with you, Sagara.

(Maya leaps into the air, bouncing away, while Sanosuke is still dazed.)

Sanosuke: ...I probably shouldn't have agreed to that right away.

Sanosuke: I don't trust Maya, and I have no idea what she's up to. But letting her into the alliance was the only way she would keep quiet... and besides, if worse comes to worse we can always dump her later.

* * *

DAY 5

(Baroque is again slow to awake, letting the sun rise high in the sky before they pull themselves out of bed. Ryo is the last to leave, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Maya, in adult form, walks nearby.)

Maya: While that took you awhile.

Ryo: I was having a nice dream... involving you.

(He receives a nice kick for his troubles.)

Maya: You've got fire duty. Make sure it doesn't go out.

Ryo: Oh joy. Talk about boring.

Maya: Sorry, should I sign and dance for you?

Ryo (grinning lecherously): Depends what type of dance. I would prefer--

(Maya draws back her fist.)

Ryo: --a little ballet. I've always been one for the classics.

Maya: How quickly he learns how to avoid pain.

* * *

(Meanwhile, Leorio and Mitsuko are out fishing. Well, Mitsuko is fishing, and Leorio stands poised with a spear to jab into any aquatic life which looks appetizing. So far, nothing.)

Mitsuko: Of all the people to be stuck with...

Leorio: I would have thought a smart young girl like you would like a mature, older man like myself.

Mitsuko: Mature isn't the first word I would use to describe you.

Leorio: Is it handsome?

Mitsuko: No.

Leorio: Dashing?

Mitsuko: No.

Leorio: Intelligent?

Mitsuko: Why don't you stop trying now and preserve what's left of your ego?

Leorio: Fine

(Grumbling a bit, Leorio turns back to the sea. A moment passes, and then he speaks again.)

Leorio: I guess you and Sanosuke are pretty close then.

Mitsuko: Not really... he's just a good guy, and I like hanging out with him.

Leorio: And making out?

Mitsuko: No!

(Another pause. Leorio frowns, then with one smooth motion, plunges the spear into the water. He pulls out a giant fish, at least three feet long, flopping around on the end of the spear.)

Leorio: Whoa nelly!

Mitsuko: Kill it! Kill it and eat it!

(Panicked, Leorio waves his spear around and whacks the fish on the floor of the boat a couple of times. It gets thrown off the spear and flops around a couple times in the boat. Mitsuko grabs ahold of the slippery animal and pins it to the ground. With a quick crack, it stops moving.)

Leorio: ...whew. Remind me never to piss you off.

Mitsuo: Ew, that fish was slimy.

Leorio: We should head back. Let everyone know about our great catch.

* * *

Skypeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(For once, a clear day, and a peaceful morning. The Skypeia seven are all up, puttering around camp. Ed is preparing breakfast, while Mitsuki has gone out for treemail, and the others are all helping out with odd chores... well, except for Yoh, who is still sleeping.)

Sena: Shouldn't we wake him up?

Konoka: We'd better not, in case he's going for the world record of longest sleep.

Sena: ...alright, whatever you say.

Sena: Not wanting to sound like Nodoka or something but... Yoh is a great guy and all, I just wish he would do some work. He sleeps all day, and lets us clean up after him.

(Ippo, dumping a clump of firewood off, leans in towards Edward.)

Ippo: Making breakfast?

Edward: No, I'm trying to use this fruit as kindling.

Ippo: Er, if you're sure that'll work...

Edward: Of course I'm making breakfast. What does it look like?

(Ippo frowns and squats down next to Ed.)

Ippo: Hey, can I try cooking something?

Edward: You know how?

Ippo: Well, the most I've made for myself is microwave ramen, but I think I can figure it out.

Edward: I'll give you some pointers--

Ippo: No, I can do it on my own.

(Ippo picks up a stick of meat and holds it over the fire, lightly grilling it. He and Edward exchange glares.)

Konoka: No no guys... for Iron Chef you need to have a secret ingredient.

(Mitsuki comes out of the forest, holding a bag in her hand.)

Mitsuki: Guys! Treemail!

Sena: Great... another challenge.

(Mitsuki sits down and spills open the bag. Inside is a gold coin and a rolled up piece of parchment.)

Saki: What's the paper say?

Mitsuki: It's a map of Spring Island, where they hold the challenges. See, Challenge Beach is even marked off on it.

Saki: What's that supposed to say? We already know the challenge is there.

Sena: Maybe we need to find something in the jungle?

Konoka: Ooh, I like scavenger hunts.

Saki: If we have a challenge, someone should wake Yoh up.

(Yoh rolls over, burying his face in the pillow. Except there is no pillow, so he buries his face in hard wood logs. Everybody winces.)

Yoh (groggy): S'okay, ah'm awake.

Ippo: You know, if you don't start getting up earlier, we'll have to go to the challenge without you.

Yoh: Yeah yeah Anna.

(He slowly gets up as the rest of the tribe casts unsure glances at him.)

Ippo: Ah, damn!

Mitsuki: What's wrong?

Ippo: I burnt the food!

(Ippo holds out the breakfast of charcoal.)

Edward: Victory is mine!

Sena: ...um, no matter who won, we still just lost some of the little meat we have.

Ippo & Edward (simulatneous): STOP BRINGING ME DOWN!

* * *

(It's after breakfast. Everyone is making the last preparations for the challenge, including making the camp safe to be left alone. Sena and Saki are hiding the food so tht wandering animals don't get at it.)

Saki: Sena, I was thinking... if we lose the challenge today--

Sena: I really don't want to think about that.

Saki: That's great, but in case we do... do you want to vote with the rest of us against Mitsuki?

Sena: Her again?

Saki: We could go for Konoka if you like.

Sena: They're my friends. I'm not voting them out.

Saki: But you have to see that they aren't really helping our tribe. If you think about this logically--

Sena: Whatever. We need to get to the challenge.

(Sena gets up and walks away. Saki frowns and follows him. They meet up with their tribemates by the boat, and wordlessly huddle.)

Sena: WE'RE GONNA KILL THEM!

* * *

Challenge Beach (Spring Island)

(Light nods to both tribes as they float in, Baroque before Skypeia as usual. Sanosuke hoists the mast-shaped immunity idol above his head as he brings it in, sticking it into the sound.)

Light: Welcome to today's immunity challenge. First thing's first, give up the idol.

Sanosuke (to the idol): Don't worry baby. You'll be back home before you know it.

(Baroque laughs, as Light walks over to take the staff.)

Light: I don't even want to know what you do with that thing at night. Immunity, at stake tonight. Once again, you get to run around this island, except this time you'll be more confused. Today, you both received a map of the island in your treemail. This is going to help you for your next challenge. In true pirate tradition, both tribes will be looking for buried treasure somewhere on the island. You'll have different destinations, but the challenge will be the same. I'll mark the spot on your maps and give you a shovel. Your job is to find the quickest way to that spot. There are paths through the jungle, however, you have to be on the lookout for traps and beasts. Once you think you've found the spot, start digging. The treasure chest will have a flare gun in it, which you fire to show that you've finished and won the challenge.

Konoka: We get to be pirates? Yay!

Light: No, you're on a TV show. But whatever. Baroque, you're sitting one out for the challenge, who's it going to be?

Sanosuke: I'll have to go with Mitsuko... no offense Mitsu-chan.

Mitsuko: None taken.

Mitsuki (sotto): I thought I was Mitsu-chan...

Light: All right. I'll mark your maps, and then we're off.

* * *

(The two tribes are in huddles, over their rolled-up maps. Light is standing impassively on the side.)

Light: When I say go, open your map and do whatever you have to. Survivors ready... go!

(Both tribes tear open the scrolls. Their treasure is marked with a cartoonish red “X”. Sena, familiar with navigating through hostile territory, quickly finds the best path to get there. Sanosuke is arguing for a blunter approach.)

Sanosuke: The quickest way to go is in a straight line. Let's go right through the jungle.

Cagalli: But we'll be slower if we have to deal with the terrain.

Sanosuke: It'll still be quicker than going around. Besides, there are probably traps on the path.

Rukia: Cagalli's right. Let's stick with the path.

(Skypeia nods and gets up to run, starting off on their chosen trail.)

Lee: They're leaving!

Sanosuke: All right, quick show of hands. Who votes for going through the forest?

(Sano, Lee, Maya and Ryo raise their hands.)

Sanosuke: Then it's settled. Come on, let's get a move on!

(Baroque dashes into the jungle.)

* * *

(Skypeia is taking the path at a light jog. Konoka and Mitsuki are lagging behind, but still struggling to keep running.)

Ippo: Come on, if we could run around this island yesterday we can run through it today.

Konoka: You ran around it yesterday... too much for me...

Ippo: Just try to keep up, okay?

(However, Skypeia's progress soon hits a wall... literally. A stone wall, about eight feet high, stands in the way of their path.)

Sena: What is that thing?

Yoh: It's a wall. Obviously.

Konoka: It looks like it goes around for a while, too.

Ippo: What are we supposed to do here?

* * *

(The wall apparently stretches pretty far, as Baroque have run into it as well.)

Sanosuke: What the hell?

Maya: We must be supposed to climb over this.

Leorio: It looks pretty slippery... is there any other way around?

Maya: How about through it? Sanosuke, you said you could break boulders with that technique you were boasting about the other day.

Sanosuke: Good idea!

Cagalli: Wait--

(Sanosuke's arm blurs forward, and vanishes completely with the speed of the blows. About a five-metre across hole in the wall has now been punched out, with rock shards lying around. For those of you who haven't read Rurouni Kenshin, Sanosuke just punched so fast that it broke the laws of physics.)

Cagalli: --it might not be legal. He said no powers, remember?

Ryo: Oh well. Too late now.

Sanosuke: I didn't use any magic or anything for that. Just plain old speed.

Maya: Well, I don't think we've lost yet. Onwards!

(The tribe climbs through the hole, and continues on through the jungle.)

* * *

(Cut to Light walking along the beach, staring intensely into the camera, Phil-style.)

Light: Due to our somewhat arbitrary rules, Sanosuke's ability is not illegal in challenges, as it uses only his natural speed and not any special power source.

Mitsuko: ...who are you talking to?

(Light notices Mitsuko sitting out the challenge nearby.)

Light: I was explaining the rules for the benefit of the audience.

Mitsuko: Wrong show, Light. Wrong show.

* * *

(Unfortunately, Skypeia doesn't have anyone who can punch through walls.)

Yoh: So how the hell do we get around this?

Edward: If I could use my alchemy, this would be over in two seconds.

Mitsuki: We have the shovel, why don't we dig under it?

Yoh: We could... but that would take forever.

(Ippo, meanwhile is sizing up the wall... and grabs onto a part of it. Quickly, he scales up the wall, and sits on top of it.)

Ippo: Guys!

Mitsuki: Whoa! How'd you climb that?

Ippo: There's a set of handholds which lead straight up. They're hidden a bit, but once you see them they're easy to use.

(He indicates a series of narrow ledges, which could be used like steps.)

Edward: Good eyes. Come on, everybody.

* * *

(We see an Amazing-Race style map of the island and both teams goals. Arrows representing each tribe go out. Baroque is closer to their treasure, but are moving slower, while Skypeia is still taking the long way round. Cut to Baroque, who are slowly trudging their way through the dense jungle floor. Well, except for Lee, who is leaping from tree to tree.)

Leorio: How much further do we have to go?

Sanosuke: It's not very far now.

Rukia: Something just ran across my foot.

Sanosuke: Look guys, if I hear one more complaint--

Lee: There's a giant tiger charging at us.

Sanosuke (angry): THAT'S IT! I-- wait a minute, what did you say?

(Sure enough, an oversized tiger is charging through the jungle at the Baroque team. They stare at the strange sight slack-jawed for approximately a second, before screaming for their lives and running in all different directions.)

* * *

(Skypeia are still headed down the path.)

Ippo: I hate to say it guys, but we aren't getting much closer.

Yoh: I'm going as fast as I can!

Edward: You know, we have two shovels... we really only need to get one or two people down there to win it.

Sena: You're right. Why don't we all go as fast as we can, and whoever gets there first starts digging?

Ippo: All right.

(Sena takes a shovel and map from Ed and darts off. Everyone else starts running faster, and Ippo and Ed are obviously faster than the others.)

Saki: Damn, that kid is fast.

(There's a crash, and Sena's yell.)

Saki: And apparently accident-prone.

(The tribe rushes forward to find that Sena has fallen into a pit, concealed by straw. It's about ten feet down, but Sena landed on some padding and he isn't hurt – only stunned.)

Sena: Looks like we found a trap...

Edward: Great. Now we've got to get you out of there.

* * *

(Baroque regroups, all of their members panting after running so far.)

Sanosuke: All right, are we all in one piece?

Rukia: I think so...

Sanosuke: Thank god Mitsuko wasn't with us... that thing might have been able to catch up with her.

Cagalli: Oh sure, worry about her...

Lee: Say, aren't we missing someone?

* * *

Leorio: WHY IS THIS DAMN THING STILL CHASING ME!

(Leorio is running at full speed, a cartoonish dust cloud stirred up beneath him. The tiger is in pursuit, stalking him at a light pace.)

Leorio: I can't die now! Not while I'm poor!

(Leorio dashes out across the path... and straight into another pit trap. He collapses. The tiger leaps out, arching it's body, not seeing the pit. It hits its head on the edge of the pit, and slumps to the bottom on top of Leorio, unconcious.)

Leorio: ...great. Now I've just got to get it off of me.

* * *

(Skypeia has managed to fish Sena out of his pit using a human ladder. Sena latches onto Ippo's arms as Edward and Saki dangle him by his feet, then pull both boys up.)

Saki: You know, you could probably lend a hand Yoh.

Yoh: Nah, you're doing fine.

(Sena eventually surfaces, brushing some straw out of his hair. His shovel is still nestled across his back.)

Sena: All right, let's go around this time.

(The team runs around the hole and starts heading down the path, with Sena darting off with his lightning-fast speed, and Edward and Ippo dashing after him. The rest are still running in a clump behind.)

* * *

(Baroque is rushing through the jungle growth. Lee is still hopping through the trees, holding a shovel.)

Sanosuke: Lee, go ahead! The sooner one of us gets here, the sooner we can start digging! Everyone, just run as fast as you can, don't worry about staying in a group!

Lee: I shall bring honour to this tribe!

(Lee immediately dashes off with superhuman speed, while Sanosuke, Maya, and Rukia start running faster. Cagalli and Ryo keep running at the same pace, being quickly left behind.)

Cagalli (panting): Looks like we aren't cut out for this, huh?

Ryo: I'll kick ass in the “controlling a big cybernetic dragon” challenge.

* * *

(Running full speed, Sena finally gets to the spot, checking with the map to make sure he's at the right spot. He takes out his shovel and starts digging.)

Sena: This might take awhile...

(Across the island, as revealed by the magic of splitscreen, Lee reaches his spot, which he seems to have memorized. He starts digging as well, arms flying as he tosses the dirt in every which direction.)

Lee: Gotta dig faster...

(Cut between the two. Sanosuke and Ippo arrive at about the same time, at which point Lee's whole is deeper and wider. Sena, exhausted, hands off his share of the digging to Edward, and the two start methodically digging down. Sanosuke and Lee, with ocasional help from Maya and Rukia, dig down and out. Eventually everyone has arrived at their spot.)

Mitsuki: Come on, Ippo! I know you can do it!

Ryo: Just a little bit farther...

(One shovel hits something metallic. Urgently, the dirt around it is kicked away to reveal an elaborate treasure chest. Almost immediately, all of the hands of the tribe grab it and pull it out, the chest popping open to reveal a flare gun. One hand grabs for it.)

Sanosuke: Let me do the honours.

(With the Baroque tribe (well, most of them) around him, Sanosuke fires a red flare off into the air.)

* * *

(Light is standing on the beach, staring intently at the skyline. He sees the red flair burst over the treetops, and throws his hand up.)

Light: Baroque wins immunity!

(He keeps his hand up for a minute as the sand blows past him, as he slowly realizes he's the only one there. Even Mitsuko has ran off to join her tribe.)

Light: ...I should probably go tell them that.

* * *

(Ippo, Edward, and Sena are sweaty and still digging as the flare goes off.)

Saki: Guys, I hate to break it to you... but it looks like they've won.

Ippo: Damn!

(Ippo tosses his shovel down into the now quite deep. He collapses to his knees, panting.)

Ippo: I was sure we could win this one... I can't believe we lost again.

(Mitsuki rubs Ippo's back, trying to soothe him.)

Mitsuki: It's all right. We'll win the next challenge.

Edward: They keep winning by inches, is what's so annoying! If we were getting slaughtered, at least we wouldn't get our hopes up.

Konoka: Hey, maybe next time the inches will go our way!

Edward: Yeah, I wish.

(The tribe members head back to the beach uneasily, knowing that one of them is going home tomorrow.)

* * *

Baroque Tribe (Summer Island)

(As usual, Sanosuke is the first one off the boat, hoisting the immunity idol over his head like a weapon.)

Sanosuke: Three in a row, baby! Talk about a slaughter!

Mitsuko: You did great out there!

Cagalli: How can you tell? You didn't actually see the challenge.

Mitsuko: Well, we won, didn't we?

Ryo: I said that we were the stronger tribe, and it looks like I was right. I don't know what the other tribe did, but we were attacked by wild animals and we still succeeded!

(Lee hops off of the boat, balancing on top of the immunity idol and posing.)

Lee: Banzai!

(He pauses, and looks around, still perched on top of the idol.)

Lee: Say, what happened to Leorio? (As if on cue, Leorio crawls out of the jungle, his suit torn and tarnished.)

Lee: Hey! How did you get here?

Leorio: ...comic teleportation.

(He hacks a cough for a couple minutes while the rest of the tribe just shrug and go about their business.)

* * *

Skypeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(The bad weather has returned as the Skypeia boat drifts back to shore, full of depressed survivors. Large pellets of hail are falling, impacting off the boat and the castaways.)

Yoh: This is annoying.

Saki: Agreed. It's like they took the worst parts of rain and snow and made it hurt more.

(The hail starts falling even harder, with some very large pieces falling down. The winds pick up, and the canoe starts to spin. Skypeia is trying hard to keep their boat on course, but it's not working well.)

Ippo: Duck!

Sena: Whoa! That one was as big as a grapefruit.

Konoka: Why is it always a grapefruit. Never a cantaloupe, or maybe a bowling ball, always grapefruits--

(A hailstone the size of a cantaloupw falls and clonks Konoka on the head.)

Mitsuki: Konoka!

Saki: Damnit... we've got to get back to camp.

(Edward struggles to battle the canoe back in the right direction, but the water is moving against him. Suddenly, an idea comes to him and he slams his hands down into the water. With aflash, the canoe is now sitting on a large sheet of ice, now stationary.)

Edward: Anyone feel like skating?

Ippo (amazed) : Wow... are you for real?

Edward: I think.

(Walking on the ice, the tribe hurriedly heads towards their camp, pulling their canoe to the shore behind them.)

* * *

(By the time they reach camp, the hail has subsided into pellets once again, although the rain is still coming down heavy. The seven Skypeians are soaked to the bone, and are trudging along. Konoka is still wobbly, nursing a bruise on her head.)

Yoh: This sucks. I feel like giving up.

Ippo: I probably won't stop you.

Mitsuki: Don't give up... we're already losing somebody tonight.

(The thin arms of trees provide little shelter as the group heads into camp. The fire is snuffed out, and everything is soaked. Worst of all, the shelter is destroyed, roof collapsed in on itself and a series of guilty hailstones sitting in the middle.)

Yoh: Shoot me now.

Sena: Now where are we going to sleep?

Mitsuki: Maybe there's a hotel in the forest.

Ippo: Ed, can you alchemy something up?

Edward: Of course. And after that I can alchemy up a new guy to replace the one we have to vote off. And then a bridge to a magical fairy land.

Ippo: You can't do it?

Edward: I can probably do it. I'm just sick of having to do everything around here!

Ippo: We're all contributing what we can, Ed. Some of us just have more experience than others.

Edward: Oh sure, that's your excuse. Then you'll be keeping me around, right?

(Ippo seems taken aback by the question.)

Ippo: Uh, sure.

Edward: As long as we can? Past the two wastes of food you hang out with? Or am I before them because I'm not in your little clique?

Ippo: Uh...

(Edward storms off, kicking up mud as he does so. Everyone else just kind of looks morose.)

Yoh: Wait, now who's going to fix the shelter?

Edward: I got a bit melodramatic, but it was true. The tribe is so dependent on me, it's pathetic. At first I was glad to be of help, but now I'm wondering if they couldn't fix something for themselves for once.

Saki: Things aren't good here at camp. Everyone's tense, and ready to snap at anyone. Edward is just an example of that. What happened to our teamwork?

Yoh: I don't see why Ed just didn't use his alchemy. I mean, it wasn't that hard, right?

* * *

DAY 6

Baroque Tribe (Summer Island)

(Morning has broken on Baroque, and everything is generally as it normally is. Lee and Rukia are sparring, Cagalli and Leorio have taken a boat out hunting, Mitsuko is tanning in the sand, Ryo is ogling her, and Sanosuke and Maya are ostentatiously working around camp, bringing in firewood and water and such.)

Sanosuke: Hey, Lee!

Lee: Yes, Sanosuke?

Sanosuke: Race you to the watering hole.

Lee: I shall accept this challenge with ultimate honour. Sorry Rukia, this will have to wait. YOSH!

(Lee races off into the forest, Sanosuke chasing after him.)

Sanosuke: Rukia is definitely trying to get closer to Lee. Her and Cagalli are pretty close, and they're definitely allied. I've been trying to keep Lee away from her, to make sure that our alliance has a solid fifth. Only problem is, Lee won't talk game, so I have no idea if he's on our side or not...

Sanosuke: Hey, Lee! Don't tell me you're holding back on me!

Lee: It is the only way you stand a chance.

Sanosuke: Oh yeah? We'll see about that!

Lee: I really like our tribe, and hope we keep winning! Everyone is strong, and contributes. It would be very bad if we had to vote someone out... not to mention it would split the tribe and cause fighting. Everyone is unified now, so I really hope we keep winning.

* * *

Skypeia Tribe (Winter Island)

(The storm has subsided, leaving everything wet and baren. Yoh has managed to get a fire going and is throwing twigs into it, trying to keep it that way. Everyone else is working on rebuilding the shelter, with mostly new wood. The roof is already half built.)

Ippo: Hey Yoh, could you hold this for me?

Yoh: Get someone else to do it, I'm tending the fire.

Ippo: Right...

(Konoka stumbles a bit on her feet, dropping the wood she's carrying on the ground.)

Mitsuki: Are you okay?

Konoka: Yeah... I'm just a bit dizzy. That hail hit pretty hard yesterday.

Mitsuki: Do you want to lie down?

Konoka: No... I'll be fine. Let's just keep working.

Mitsuki: I'm worried about Konoka. I think she might have a concussion from getting hit in that storm yesterday. She seems really out of it... well, moreso than normal.

Edward: If she's hurt, Konoka is just more of a liability. She's trying, but there comes a time when you have to stop protecting the girl.

* * *

(It's a bit later in the afternoon. The foursome of Ippo, Sena, Konoka, and Mitsuki are back at camp. Ed and Saki are off working elsewhere, while Yoh lounges around by the fire. The four sit in what there is of the shelter and talk quietly.)

Ippo: So guys, what's the plan for tonight?

Konoka: I don't even want to think about it.

(Ippo casts a suspicious glance towards Yoh, who had nodded off.)

Ippo: I don't want to sound like Nodoka... but Yoh is too lazy. It's even affecting the challenges.

Sena: Yeah, like when he hung back instead of running as fast as he could.

Konoka: You want to vote him off tonight?

Ippo: I think that's the best choice.

(Yoh gets up and yawns, walking into the woods.)

* * *

(In the woods, Yoh finishes doing his business up against a tree. He zips up his fly, and heads back towards the camp. Saki walks up to him, holding firewood with one hand and pinching her nose with the other.)

Saki: You know, you're on the chopping block tonight.

Yoh: I am?

Saki: Yeah. Maybe if you at least put some effort into this game...

Yoh: How do I save myself?

Saki: Well, we need to go after the four kids. Konoka is probably the best target, because she's hurt.

Yoh: Okay. So, just vote for Konoka?

Saki: That and we need to convince Sena to flip. He's the only weak link in the alliance.

(Yoh nods, before yawning and turning back.)

Yoh: What do you say you talk to Sena and I talk to Ed? He and I are cool.

* * *

(Cut to Edward and Yoh out on the water, fishing again. This time, the roles are reversed: Yoh is trying to convince Ed how to vote.)

Edward: I really don't like Yoh, but he keeps hanging around me for some reason. Maybe it's just cause I was trying to work over him last council, but he really needs some friends.

Yoh: Me and Saki are going to try and get Konoka out tonight. You want to help out?

Edward: Maybe.

Yoh: Maybe?

Edward: I'm not signing on to any alliances. I'm going to vote for who I want to go.

Yoh: Okay, whatever.

(Yoh never was very persuassive.)

* * *

(Saki is talking to Sena out in the woods. Both are going to get water.)

Saki: So Sena, have you thought about what I said the other day?

Sena: Uh, not really...

Saki: Look, I think you should vote for Konoka tonight. And this isn't just for my benefit. We need her gone to win the next immunity challenge.

Sena: What about Yoh? He's not exactly helping us out in challenges.

Saki: I think Yoh just needs some fear put into him, then he'll start working again. But Konoka's hurt, and she was already pretty weak, and...

Sena (nervous): I don't think so, Saki...

Saki: If you just looked at this logically instead of emotionally, you'd see my point!

(Sena turns his back and starts to walk away, quivering.)

Saki: Sena!

Sena: What?

Saki: If you won't do it for any other reason... do it for her sake. She's hurt, and she's hungry, and tired. I don't think she can last much longer in the game.

Sena: ...I'll think about it.

* * *

(The sun is just beginning to set as Ippo slides the last piece of wood into place. The shelter is now completely fixed, looking even better than before. The boxer dusts his hands off proudly.)

Ippo: There. Good as new.

Edward: A nice place for six people to sleep tonight.

Ippo: I guess you're right.

(The tribe have gathered on the beach, carrying their relit torches as they prepare for the second tribal council. Nobody looks very pleased to be there.)

Mitsuki: I thought it would be better this time around, but all that keeps going through my head is “What if it's me? What if I'm the target and I just don't know it?” It's just so scary having others decide your fate.

Yoh: I hope I'm not going tonight. I won't be surprised if I am, but I think I've been able to go under the radar. The alliance is a much bigger threat than I am.

Saki: Come on guys. Time to face the music.

* * *

Tribal Council (Autumn Island)

(The seven Skypeians file into council, setting their torches down behind them. Notably, Ippo, Konoka, Sena, and Mitsuki sit on the top row while the other three take the bottom. Light is standing across the firepit, looking impassive as always.)

Light: Welcome back to tribal council. So the past three days... not that great for you.

Yoh: I'll say.

Light: Tell me a bit about it.

Yoh: Well, the weather has been crap at our camp since we got there, but the worst thing probably happened yesterday with that hailstorm. Not only did it break our shelter and hurt Konoka, but everything got wet. It was really prety miserable.

Edward: Not to mention we lost both challenges. That really bugged me.

Light: Do you think maybe those two things are related? Is morale down?

Ippo: Kind of. I mean, we're on a losing streak, but we're not going to give up. I think we can keep up a strong morale.

Saki: The last two losses were close. I think we can turn things around.

Light: I hope so, or else this will be terribly boring. Konoka, how is your tribe getting along?

Konoka: It's great! Everyone's friends, and we all can work together as a team.

Light: Does that make tonight's vote harder?

Konoka: A little, but I guess we can't vote out Nodoka every week. I just hope that whoever gets voted out can take it well and knows that it's nothing personal.

Light: I wouldn't bet on it. It is time to vote. First off, Ippo, you still have that individual immunity necklace. Do you want to use it tonight?

Ippo: I think I'll save it for later.

Light: All right then. Edward, you're up.

(Edward goes up and votes. He is followed by Ippo, who writes “YOH” down on his card.)

Ippo: I hate to say it, but this isn't a vacation. Maybe you'll be better off in Sequesterville.

(Konoka is next, and also votes for Yoh.)

Konoka: You're cool and all, but you don't put any effort into anything.

(Mitsuki votes after that, followed by Saki and Sena. Last is Yoh, who carefully writes down “KONOKA”.)

Yoh: I like you, but it's you or me. You have too many friends to stay around.

(Yoh returns to his seat, calmly anticipating the results. Light nods and goes out to take the urn containing the votes.)

Light: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes.

(He reaches in and unfolds the first vote. It's marked “KONOKA.”)

Light: Konoka.

(The second vote reads the same.)

Light: Konoka again.

(The black-haired girl nervously shifts in her seat. Light takes the next vote out and shows it.)

Light: Yoh.

(Yoh nods, accepting. Light takes out two ballots in turn and reveals them.)

Light: Yoh. Yoh.

(Yoh grips his bench, sweating for the first time in the game. Light takes out the last vote and pauses before reading it.)

Light: The second person voted of Survivor: Grand Line... Yoh.

(Yoh nods and gets up, calmly walking up to Light. He looks depressed, but accepts his execution.)

Light: Yoh? The tribe has spoken.

(With that, he snuffs the shaman's torch. Yoh nods and heads out.)

Light: Your tribe is down to six. You can still turn it around... but you need to do it soon. Good night, and I'll see you tomorrow.

(The Skypeia tribe walks off, their faces heavy.)

Last Words:

Yoh: Wow, that didn't work out the way I planned. To be honest, I'm a bit angry at the others for voting me out, but I can see why they did it. Oh well. This was a nice break, and I got to meet some great people. Now, back to training...

Author's Notes:

Well, there goes the second episode. This one wound up being mostly comedy, with a mostly drama-free elimination, the wacky imunity challenge, and lots of cute little scenes. It wasn't intended that way, but it kind of morphed into a lighthearted ep, and I had no problem with that.

So Yoh ends up the unceremonious second boot. I kind of feel like I didn't give him enough credit, as he's one of my favourite SK characters -- which is weird, considering that he's the main character and shounen leads are usually rather generic. Still, the main reason he was so lazy in the story is because Anna wasn't there to boss him around, which accounts for 95% of his work in the series. Hmm, maybe an AR team...

Next up is the infamous third chapter. I will probably finish it! Stay tuned!
