CHAPTER 10: THE HAND OF A CHINESE GIRL VS. THE HEART OF A CHINESE BOY
That title alone creates suspense. Or maybe not…but I’m gonna quote from Arp-san, when he reviewed this chapter. Things are gonna happen in this ep, so ladies and gentlemen, Yukina Shiratori has arrived…
(Nadesico fans will know what this means, anyone else, just pretend to know what I’m on about…^_^)
Anyway, let's get on with it....

(Akito is shown on the outside of the beach, ready to give his introduction)
Akito: Helang's structure is weakening by the second. Nene Romanova was the next of the strong Ulah tribe to go. However, are their weaknesses within the thread of the Ulah tribe, or is it just hope and yet again more hope for the two remaining members of Helang? Well, here's are some clips of what happened after tribal council...
(Night, Day 27)
Duo: I'm surprised you did that Shinji, you do realise you made yourself a target now don't you?
Shinji: Maybe, but I've been a target all my life, I'm used to it. Besides, I couldn't bring myself to vote Nene off. It wasn't like it mattered it was still an outnumber.
Duo: Yes, but if you voted for one of us, and they had gone together, it could have been dangerous.
Shinji: Could have, but wasn't.
Duo: I'm just warning you. Shinji, on this island, we've become friends, but you do realise that you would probably be the first person the others would target after Gohan and Sakura go...
Shinji: I understand Duo. However, people misunderstand me. I want to win this. And if that means going through hell and high water, then I'll do it.
(Shot of Gohan and Sakura, walking behind most of the tribe)
Sakura: That was a shot in the dark, I'm surprised I got a vote, and I feel kind of sad that Nene went, but relieved that I'm still here...
Gohan: Yeah. The problem is that next time, it's either me or you. If anything but me winning immunity happens, I'm gone, and if I do win immunity, you're gone.
Sakura: Yeah....after all this, it's down to that. We're just waiting to be cut off. We're younger than everyone else here as well, it's hard to fit in.
Gohan: I know that, but we'll do it together, no matter what.
(Gohan grips Sakura's hand...but gently, he doesn't want to break it, as Sakura smiles as the two walk behind everyone, watching them carefully...)

Day 28, 6.53am.
(As per usual, many members of Sekutu have got up to watch the sunset. Today is going to be a very heartfelt reward challenge, but for now, let's check out what's going on down there...)
Sakura: I think my family will be amazed how many times I've got up so early here...
Tenchi: You're starting to get used to it now, it's weird how you can think how much you change in experiences such as these...
(The two are cooking up a bit of rice, nothing else, as no-one, not even Julia has found anything to supplement the food. Actually, saying that, only Tenchi, Sakura and Julia are up...)
Julia: Shall we wake the troops?
Tenchi: Don't you mean the deserters?
Sakura: (giggles) Feels like I'm in Boot Camp rather than Survivor?
Julia: That giggle of yours...it makes you look so cute Sakura, I'm must say.
Sakura: (blushes) Stop it guys!
Tenchi: No, it's true. If you were on our side, you'd have a good chance of winning. It's a shame...
Sakura: Guys, I know what's going to happen next time, but please, let me and Gohan enjoy our time. I like you guys, and I just want to enjoy myself for my remaining days.
Julia: Of course...it is a shame...
Tenchi: She reminds you of Davis, doesn't she...
Julia: Yeah, it seems like I'm a mother at times...
Sakura: Well, my mother...it's a touchy area...
Gohan: Yeah, you never seemed to like talking about it do you Sakura?
(Gohan is up and about, walking to the 3 of them)
Tenchi: Yeah. I know how you feel.
(Sakura: It feels safe knowing that I'm not the only one who parent has died...I mean Tenchi and Shinji have both comforted me in that way, which was really nice of them...and Julia has liked been that mother figure I've wanted. And I know she's watching me...proud of me...)
Gohan: Nothing biting today...do you want me to have a search Julia?
Julia: I wouldn't bother now, the rice is crispy and it will take too long for any meat to cook with it. Besides, any fish cooking would wake up the remaining three, and we want to salvage all the rice we can can't we?
Tenchi: Wow, are you sure you haven't been hanging around Serena too much as well...that sounds, almost bad coming from you?
Julia: (winks) Hey, a girls got to have some secrets...
Sakura: Sister, you don't know the half of it...
Gohan: Who says girls are the only ones with their hidden secrets....
Tenchi: Hmm...mostly girls...
Sakura/Julia: WHY YOU GUYS...
(Tenchi and Gohan run like mad, as the two girls laugh. The commotion wakes up Chun, as she and Duo get up from the tent, and Shinji also, but he's been sleeping on the hammock again.)
Shinji: Er....are the girls threatening the guys again?
Chun: Julia, you threaten the guys with Sakura, and you don't even invite me! I'm heartbroken...
Duo: If they catch them, they may have part of their anatomy broken...hey, watch the rice!
(Duo quickly goes over to check on it, as Chun and Shinji join him. The four others sweatdrop)
Tenchi: We got up early to cook it, and they get up to salvage it...it's some sort of poetic injustice isn't it?
(The rice is shared out, as they realise with the fish not biting, that's all they are going to get. With rice rations starting to go down a bit, smaller helpings are what is going on, and for some of the group, that is not a good thing)
Gohan: It's O.K, I can survive on small amounts of food, it just that I normally have a big appetite...I guess survival does do wonders for me...
Sakura: At least you can have an even better body than before Gohan-kun..(winks)
Tenchi: What you two been up to?
Sakura/Gohan: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!
Julia: Growing up, finding any food was a reason for success, so I've used to this.
Chun: It's not that the smaller amounts of food is a problem, it's just that you become used to a routine, and when it changes, your body struggles.
Duo: I agree there.
Shinji: Personally, as long as there is something in my stomach, I can survive.
Sakura: I have a big appetite yes, but I don't need to, I have the smallest body, I can survive on these portions...
Chun: For how long though?
Duo: It depends really how long you can last on the island I guess.
Gohan: (his friendly demeanour slightly put off) I guess....

(Shot of various parts of the island, as the Tekken island is quite a place of deserted and untouched beauty mostly. Ends on a shot of Akito.)
Akito: Whilst the group continued to work without controversy, with immunity tomorrow, everyone is on alert. It is a last ditch survival for Helang, and also a last ditch chance for them to perhaps save both of themselves. But first, they prepare for the upcoming reward challenge.
(Time 11.34am.)
Gohan: I think with the lack of food starting to come, a food based reward would be perfect.
Sakura: Yeah, I'm small enough already, I don't need to get any thinner...
Gohan: What about me?
Sakura: Most of you is muscle anyway...
Gohan: Oh yeah...in that case...
(Pushes Sakura into the water with one finger. He smiles as the wet and bedraggled Avalon girl frowns angrily...before running and jumping on him, wrapping her arms around his neck in a sleeperhold.)
Gohan: (laughs) Hey, hey, there is an ant on my back!
Sakura: At least you didn't call me a monster!
(The two laugh as Sakura drops down, and they get changed to go for the reward challenge)
Duo: The two are getting so close now if they remained it would be a huge danger.
Chun: I know that, it's is going to be one of them, hopefully Gohan, then Sakura next time, and just the 5 of us to go for the finale.
Duo: Who would you pick off after them?
Chun: Probably Shinji. He may be a lone wolf, but they are dangers whether on their own or in a pack.
Duo: I guess...and we know it was him who didn't vote with the majority. It didn't matter, but it does mean he can go against us.
Chun: Agreed, but Gohan is the strongest threat at the moment.
Duo: Yeah, him first, unless he wins immunity.
(Some are talking about immunity already, others however, are relaxed)
Tenchi: (kendo stick warm up practice) Just got to get my blood up if it's a physical challenge...
Julia: (making sweeping elbow gestures) Yeah, can't have too many loose joints.
Shinji: It makes me wonder how you guys manage to exercise so often in this heat. And that goes for you two as well...
(Shot as Gohan and Sakura have joined up as well. Gohan is shadowboxing, and stretching a bit, whilst Sakura is also stretching, but adding a couple of impressive backflips as well)
Sakura: Hey, it's a routine I don't like to give up. And Gohan needs to stay in shape for the next super villain he has to defend the earth from.
Gohan: Right...what she said...
Tenchi: Well, I think that's enough. Shall we?
Julia: Of course.
(The two 'couples' start to head out as Shinji follows them, a lot on his mind by the looks of things...)

(Reward Challenge, 12.01pm.)
(Shot of a jungle like area, the 7 of them are sitting cross-legged on the floor, as Akito welcomes them.)
Akito: Well team, lucky 7 people for this reward challenge, and today, it's a piece of home. I'm sure now you've been on this island for close to a month now, you are starting to miss your family and friends aren't you?
Tenchi: I think I'll reserve comment on that...
(All laugh, remembering Tenchi's 'family' in that phone-call)
Akito: Fair point, but for the rest of you, as well as Tenchi, the reward is indeed a piece of home. Now, for a spoiler for all of you, here is a minute of what the reward could be if you win...
(Akito slots a video in, and as the screen starts to flash up, a name comes up. 'CHUN-LI')
(A shot of a temple on the screen, an middle-aged man on a couple of crutches is there, a younger man from Hong Kong is also there.)
Doulei: Hey there daughter. Glad to hear you're still there, not causing too much trouble are you?
Fei Long: My childhood friend has grown up so fast. You're strength is showing just for staying this long.
Doulei: Ryu and Ken have both written to me, asking for them to give you good luck for the challenges ahead...
(It stops, and Chun is crying, a smile on her face, as Duo wraps his arms around her, but he then sees his own name following. Shot of a few people in front of a town.)
Heero: Duo. We may have differing approaches on the battle field, but as a survivor, you are among the best.
Hilde: Aw Heero, you're sucking the fun out of everything! Duo, come back to us alright, whether it is just you, or you with a million! I don't care, just come back!
(Duo smiles, not crying, but the smile is etched in his memory. Next up is Gohan. A familiar home is there, but there is only one person there that can talk)
Chi-chi: Aw Gohan, my sweet baby, PLEASE WIN THIS! ONE MILLION WILL SURELY HELP US AND DEAR GOTEN! Your father would be so happy and proud of you...
Gohan: Dad...mom...(memories of his deceased father begin to make Gohan break, and many are surprised at the young Super Saiyan. Next up is Julia, shot of some mountain cliffs as an older version of Julia, and a muscular young man are shown)
Michelle: Julia, you have done us proud already, and have amazed expectations. Keep going my dear daughter...
Jin: I'm confident that you can win Julia Chang. Xiayou, Lei and Hwoarang have also sent their regards and good luck to you, because we all believe in you...
(Julia sinks her head, crying the minute she saw her mother and her friend on the screen. Now, it's Sakura's turn and she is already crying...the shot is of her father and brother...)
Tori: Hey there squirt, not doing too bad out there, just don't mess up everything like you always do...
Aiden: Ignore him Sakura, no matter what, I'll always be proud of you. And all of your friends are well...
Madison: (behind the camera) Let me just get on to say hi...
(Before she does, it cuts off, and Sakura bawls. Gohan hugs her, as everyone is generally moved. Now, the interesting one coming up. Shinji. A shot of a home as Misato is back, and another two girls are also there...)
Misato: Well, although I've been kicked off, it's great to see you are still there Shinji! People have been asking how you've been, Kensuke has come over for good luck from him and Touji...
Asuka: I guess I'll wish you good luck as well, just don't screw up! But why did wondergirl also come...
Rei: I just wished to say good luck to Shinji Ikari.
(Shinji's face is stern and cold, but a tiny smile breaks out on his face. Now, the Pay-Per-View event, Tenchi's turn.)
Sasami: I'm sorry about this Tenchi, but well...
Ryoko: Tenchi, you'll win this for me won't you?
Ayeka: He'll win, but he's not going to give the money to you, you money grabber! Lord Tenchi deserves much better than a typical space floozie...
Ryoko: Who you calling a floozie sister?
(A typical Ryoko/Ayeka cat fight starts, as Kiyone in the background is screaming at Mihoshi for them having to fix something so they can't see Tenchi...as the video cuts off, Tenchi is also smiling.)
Akito: If that tickled your fancies, the reward today is the whole video that your family and friends have sent you. To earn this, you must go through the jungle obstacle course.
(Shot of the course. It consists of a log first, then a cargo net, two parallel wires, some gladiator like ring swings, a fence to clime up, another cargo net, more logs, up a mini escalator, a rope swing, stepping on some stumps, climbing a wall, and hopefully the contestants won't get much further...^_^)
Akito: It's not about finishing the course, you've only got 60 seconds. You must get as far as you can without touching the floor. When you do, or when time has run out, a flag will be placed with your name on it. The one with the furthest will win the reward. And we will go in alphabetical order, so Chun, you go first...
(Chun-Li takes her place at the starting line...)
Akito: And go!
(Chun takes the log easy with her natural balance, and leaps onto the net. She however, struggles as she catches her foot on it, but manages to get over. She handles the wires, and hooks onto the rings, but as she comes to the fence, she has to leap from the rings to the fence. She makes it, but takes a step back as she jumps and lands on the floor...)
Akito: O.K, just up to the fence. (puts a flag on) Duo, you're up....
(Duo takes his position)
Akito: Go!
(Duo isn't as fast as Chun on the logs, and also struggles on the net. It seems that he is a step behind her, but he can still make it further than her as long as he doesn't fall. However, he misses one of the rings and drops...)
Akito: Chun is still in the lead. O.K, Gohan!
(The Saiyan gets ready)
Akito: And go!
(Gohan, as expected, begins to quickly go through. He handles the logs as quick as Chun, but doesn't fall on the net and goes up much quicker. He struggles a little on the wires, and calmly goes through the rings. He hurtles up the rope fence, and goes down, jumping onto the net. He climbs up, and swings over, and hops across the logs. He gets up the escalator and swings on the rope before time is up as he gets up to the 3rd stump)
Akito: Gohan, let someone else have a chance! O.K, Julia, you’re up.
(The Tekken fighter, whilst athletic and agile, her height makes it difficult for her to navigate some of the obstacles, such as the net, and isn’t as fast as Gohan in the end, as she manages to get to the second net though…)
Akito: (puts her flag down) O.K, Gohan still in the lead, now Sakura’s turn.
(Sakura races off like a demon. This is the one occasion where less is true more, as Sakura is as quick as Gohan is, but her less mass and weight actually helps as she scoots up the net, and flies across the wires. Up the rope fence she goes well, and on the net, goes one better, and jumps from the top, landing with perfect balance on the logs. Up the escalator and swings on the ropes, and manages to get past the stumps in time, and hops onto the wall and climbs half way before Akito calls time.)
Akito: Whoa, and Sakura goes into the lead! O.K, Shinji, you’re up.
(Shinji starts off well, and manages to get across the logs, but struggles on the net. He manages to get over, and slowly goes onto the rings. He jumps to the fence, but slips and lands on the floor.)
Akito: Just one left. Tenchi, you think you can win?
Tenchi: Let’s give it a try shall we?
(Tenchi has a decent height and mass, and being slightly stronger than Julia, manages to keep up with the pace. However, his mistake is at the rings where a bit of sweat from them makes Tenchi slip, and lands on his rear…)
Tenchi: Oh well, guess this means I can’t watch the girls fight…darn, I wanted some more entertainment.
Akito: Well, the winner of this is Sakura Avalon, a piece of home is yours sweetheart!
(Shot of Sakura, openly bawling, as Gohan hugs her, the others applaud)
Akito: Do you want to watch this on your own, or with everyone around?
Sakura: (sobs) Well, if you don’t mind guys…can I watch this on my own? I don’t think I can see any of you in such a….state like…
Gohan: Shhh….it’s O.K, we understand.
Tenchi: Of course…Sakura, we all understand.
Sakura: Thank you guys….

(Whilst Sakura watches, most of them are impressed with her, however, perhaps there is more to her than meets the eye…)
Tenchi: I think we’ll let her have her time alone, if it was me, I would have let you all watch it, but that was more for a laugh, I guess she misses home a lot…
Julia: She’s young, despite everything this is still quite an experience for her, she’s been away from her family for quite a while…
Chun: But you know, it was a bit selfish of her, I’m sure most of us would have shared our memories…
Shinji: Selfish?
Chun: I think there is more to her than meets the eye. The threat she poses…
Duo: Chun, exnay on the threatney…(shot as Gohan is catching up with them)
Chun: Oh right.

Madison: Everyone is wishing you good luck Sakura! Chelsea, Rita, Nikki, Zachery, and Li even taped a personal message for you!
Li (scratchy voice) Sakura, as much as it pains me, I wish you good luck on this venture, the journey is always tough, but somehow, you’ve always come on top. Let’s home it continues. Good luck.
Madison: And Meilin has sent a letter wishing you good luck as well, we all love you Sakura! Keep your chin up!
Aiden: Sakura, as you can see, everyone in Reedington is cheering for you.
Tori: Good luck squirt!
(Tape ends)
(Shot as Sakura has her eyes closed, her tears flooding her face, as Akito kindly offers her a tissue, as Sakura graciously accepts it. She holds herself, remembering her family…)

Shinji: Hey, here she comes…
(Shot as Sakura, beaming red, still wiping a few tears away, returns to the group after winning her reward.)
Tenchi: (waves) Hey, Sakura! Are you O.K?
Sakura: Yeah, it was great, all my friends were wishing me good luck, it was just….oh, I don’t want to cry again…
Julia: Sakura, hey. (goes over and hugs the younger girl)
Sakura: I miss them so much….it was just great to see them come! (looks up and sees some missing faces) Hey, where’s Gohan, Chun and Duo?
Shinji: Gohan is out in the ocean, trying his best to find something to eat, whilst Duo and Chun are on water duty, they are going into the water hole.
Shinji: Are you sure you want to leave those two together, alone? There is always danger when those two separate, plotting…and as Nene might say, ‘they don’t plot, they scheme…’ (Shinji gets a bit quiet)
Sakura: Shinji….I didn’t realise…
Shinji: (sighs) I know it was part of the game, but I didn’t like it. I’ll admit to you Sakura, I was the one who voted against you…I just couldn’t vote for Nene.
Tenchi: I thought as much. Don’t worry Shinji, I think we understand. I don’t think my vote will ever read Julia, and neither will Sakura’s read Gohan…unless we get to the end of course.
Sakura: Fat chance of that happening for me…
Julia: Hey don’t sell yourself short Sakura…
Shinji: Yeah…(looks to the jungle)
(Shinji: Sakura later told me that she didn’t mind that, and she understands the situation. That is why I like the former Helang members more than at least one person on the Ulah tribe, because they will listen to me.)
(Shot of Gohan swimming, got the harpoon, and trying to get some fish. With his quick arm reflexes, he manages to snag a decent one, as he heads back to mainland!)
Gohan: We eat tonight!
Julia: Good on you Gohan, do you want me to take over for a while…
Sakura: Actually…Julia…do you mind if I do it? I mean, I just been watching my friends and family, I feel like I need to do something for you.
Julia: It’s O.K Sakura, you don’t have to…
Sakura: No, I insist. (calls out) Gohan, swap over?
Gohan: Sakura-chan? O.K! Good to see you as well, how was it?
Sakura: (takes the now fishless harpoon off Gohan) It made me realise how much I missed them, yet it also gave me new belief that it is not over until the fat lady sings. And I’m as thin as a rake so that ain’t gonna happen!
Gohan: (chuckles) Well, catch a few more fish then, we want you to put back that weight on!
Sakura: (playfully punches Gohan on the shoulder) Why you…ergh, if I wasn’t such a nice person, I’d attempt to hurt you!
(Sakura goes in, ready to try a hand of fishing, but meanwhile, there is plotting a brewing…)
(Shot of Duo and Chun returning from the water hole)
Duo: It’s obvious that Gohan is the more potent threat, but if he wins immunity, yeah Sakura.
Chun: It’s just that her surprising athleticism really makes her seem as an underrated and potentially dangerous member. I think there is more to her goody-too-shoes act than more than meets the eye.
Duo: Yeah? Well, hopefully they’ll both be gone in 6 days.
Chun-Li: What happens after that though? If we take out Shinji next time, it’s just 4 of us…
Duo: Whoa nelly! Let’s not go that far ahead yet!
(As Chun and Duo seem more focused than ever in winning, the realisation is that it is coming to the end, just 7 people on the island, with it becoming 6 in two days…)

(Success as Sakura catches a second fish, and they are roasting it on the barbie…sorry, the frying pan…well, the hastily made fire…)
Shinji: Here you go Gohan!
Gohan: Thank you Shinji. (takes small bites out of it, compared to Duo, who is devouring it) I’m trying to take every bite so that it lasts longer.
Sakura: Make sure it doesn’t last too long, I’m doing the dishes! I’m not waiting an hour so you can finish your bowl…
Julia: You feeling better now Sakura?
Sakura: Yeah, thank you all…
Tenchi: No problem Sakura. (Takes some water from the container) Even if it is from the water hole, we still have to boil it…
Duo: Yeah, I’m not taking any risks….
Chun: We think for each other on the tribe…well, mostly…(Chun momentarilly stares at Sakura…)
Gohan: (stops slightly) Huh, what was that?
Chun: Nothing important Gohan don’t worry about it.
Gohan: Hmmmmmm….

(The night is a very quiet one as the humidity of the night is almost as big a problem as the tropical storms. Sekutu are sweating what little fat off they have in the night, and although the camp only holds 6 people with Shinji sleeping outside, it is still a problem with room…)
Sakura: I’m really starting to think Shinji is the smartest one here…
Chun: It’s just as hot out there as it is here…
Gohan: Yes, but he isn’t sharing the outside world with 5 other people…
Tenchi: This is going to be impossible to sleep tonight….
Duo: Let’s just try and block it out alright?
Julia: ….
(Turn to see that she is asleep….)
Tenchi: She can sleep on a washing line…
(Embarrassment starts as the group, to try and rid themselves of some heat, have to shed some clothing. Chun immediately is adamant about it, but Sakura shrugs and with a bit of blushing, takes off her pink pyjama top. She cuddles next to Gohan, who is already bare chested, and began to drift off. It isn’t long before Gohan is also asleep, and Tenchi smiles.)
Tenchi: Heh, they’re still kids, no matter which way you look at it.
Chun: No way I’m taking this off, don’t even of talking me out of it Maxwell!
Duo: Wouldn’t dream of it…
(The group tries to sleep through the humidity, little do they know how hard a lack of sleep may cost them in the immunity coming up)

(Day 29, 7.14am.)
(The hot weather of the other night has had differing consequences on the survivors)
Sakura: (washing her face) I suppose with the getting up early factor, the heat really didn’t bother me that much…I was going to get up early no matter. And some of us obviously aren’t that concerned either…
(Shot of Shinji cooking, Duo and Julia sparring and Tenchi looking on. Gohan is fishing and Chun has just got back from getting the water.)
Sakura: I have a feeling though that there is some moody people though in this camp, ready to snap.
(Gohan emerges from the water near Sakura, drenching the card captor. He has two fish in his hand, and one in his mouth)
Gohan: Mppph,,,mfff…mish..mout…mov…my…mouth…
(Sakura removes the fish from his mouth)
Sakura: What did you say?
Gohan: I said, get the fish out of my mouth…
Sakura: (facefaults…but the two see the funny side and are ready to cook these on the fire)
Shinji: Ah, looks like we’ve got something today!
Gohan: I think Akane’s grandpa put this the best way, WHAT A HAUL!
Shinji: We’ll keep one for later in case we don’t catch anything else.
Duo: I think the heat last night put me off food….
Chun: Speak for yourself, I’m starving!
(Tenchi cuts the fish as they start cooking. However…)
Shinji: DAMN!
(A spark from the fire caught Shinji near the eye and he falls, flailing and the fish and rice go flying.)
Julia: Oh god, Shinji!
Shinji: (clutching his eye) I’m…I’m O.K, I closed my eye in time, it just…(seethes)….it’s just hurts a bit.
(Julia washes his eye, as the breakfast is attempted to recover. The food itself isn’t that damaged, and Gohan goes to wash the fish. However, the rice is near impossible to salvage in the sand.)
Chun: Great, an immunity and lack of food now…
Sakura: Chun, that’s a bit heartless, Shinji’s hurt and you think of your stomach!
Chun: It’s only a spark, you should see the damage done near the explosions near where we live.
Sakura: This isn’t Hong Kong though, this is Mishima Island.
Duo: Calm down ladies…
(Sakura bails off, realising what she’s doing, and apologises quickly, before going to help Gohan with the fish, and also to get some water for Shinji.)
Chun: I guess I’m sorry…
Tenchi: Chun, what is your problem with Sakura?
Chun: Huh?
Tenchi: You’ve quickly seem to developed something for her, and it’s not good. Is it…you’re not jealous of her are you?
Chun: Jealous? Why would I be?
Tenchi: I dunno. How she won the video last time? How well she is liked in all parties? Maybe you’ve got a thing for Gohan we don’t know about…
Chun: HEY! HE’S 10 YEARS OLD!
Tenchi: Just checking. But seriously, why are you agitated with her?
Chun: I dunno….(thinks)…maybe it’s because she’s a goody little two shoes who doesn’t know what real life is about. I’ve suffered what it’s about, and for someone like her to quickly become belle of the ball on this island is something which I find a bit problematic.
Duo: Um….I’m not sure what…(sees Gohan and Sakura coming back. Shinji is standing up now, a bit wobbly, but mostly fine.)
Julia: You’ll be O.K for the challenge later?
Shinji: Yeah, I’ll put water on it until then. Have the fish been washed, we’ll just have to do without rice today?
Gohan: O.K.
(Some aren’t aware what just happened…or are they?)
(Shinji: I may have been hurt, but my ears are always active. Chun and Sakura’s argument told me something. Who is Rei…and who is Asuka…)

(After a belated breakfast, and everyone has done their chores, the preparation for the immunity challenge)
Shinji: I’m fine, I can do it.
Julia: Are you sure?
Shinji: (smiles) That’s why everyone likes you Julia, you care about everyone here. But honestly, I’m fine.
Julia: Aww…and I was hoping for one less competitor today…
Shinji: Heh. I think those two are the ones you need to watch for…
(shot of Sakura doing a few sit-ups as Gohan holds her down so she can’t move the rest of her body)
Julia: Yeah, they’ll be going full throttle today. (sighs) I hate it when it ends like this. I hated voting Akane off…
Shinji: I hated voting Nene off…
Julia: Yeah. It comes to this doesn’t it.
Shinji: (slowly) Yeah…
(Julia notices the change in tone)
Julia: Hmm…the last time that happened, Serena was kicked off. (smiles) Shinji’s devious nature is kicking in…I’ve leave you to think of your many evil thoughts…
(Julia leaves to talk with Chun. Shinji sees Tenchi and seems ready to talk to him, but Duo comes in.)
Duo: Hey man, you O.K?
Shinji: Yeah, I’m ready for immunity, I just hope it isn’t an observation challenge or something like that…
Duo: O.K, you coming?
Shinji: (realises that the train of thought he had has gone…) Yeah, let’s go.

(12.05pm, Immunity challenge)
(Shot of Akito as the 7 survivors are shot on the ocean, to the distance are 7 rafts, each with a drowning victim on them)
Akito: Welcome my seadogs to today’s all important immunity challenge. Survival is the name of the game, and sometimes, you need to go all out just to make sure someone else survives. In this game, that is what you will be doing. You simply have to swim as fast as you can, to the drowning victim all decked out in scuba gear. Then, you have to bring them back on the raft, by hand, so you need to swim and pull the raft, making this an extremely physical challenge. You better be prepared.
(Shot as the 7 go into order. Gohan in particular is ready, but he knows that all of Ulah won’t be holding back, because they are determined that he is going to go, so they’ll be going all out.)
Akito: AND GO!
(It is a case of who are the better swimmers to start with, then a combination of strength and endurance will win the battle. Although Gohan is a Super Saiyan, he has the same weaknesses in the ocean. The order to start with is;)
(Julia takes the early lead, her tall body and athletic frame, plus being a good swimmer in general. Gohan is second, with Tenchi third, Chun fourth and Duo fifth, all close together. Sakura is a good swimmer, but her smaller size is a disadvantage and she is in 6th. Shinji’s sight in the water makes it a struggle and the Eva pilot is trailing in last place.)
(The swim to the stranded victims is a very long one, and they have to come back. Endurance, as well as strength comes in. Julia remains in the lead as she grabs the raft, and pulls, whilst keeping afloat. It’s more of a dragging contest than a swimming one. The victim MUST remain on the raft.)
(Gohan is stronger, and he comes second, and pulls with less trouble. However, the crowd of three coming makes it trouble, and in between Chun and Duo, Gohan slips and the victim falls. Gohan has to put him back and it makes it difficult, as he slips into 3rd, Tenchi overtaking him. With a stern look to Chun and Duo, he continues, the two not noticing what happened…)
(Sakura and Shinji come almost in unison, and neither seem to have a chance of winning now, as they collect their passengers. Sakura begins to struggle even more with the extra weight as we catch up with the leaders)
(Gohan, despite the mishap, his superior strength is catching up with Tenchi and the leader Julia. Duo and Chun are trying to catch up, both have a good lead on Shinji and Sakura, but it seems to be a three horse race now)
(The end is in sight, and the strength advantage that Gohan has is helping, but the pushing waters are testing for even the mightiest Saiyan. He tries some underwater heroics, and goes ahead of Tenchi, but as he steps out…)
(…Julia has made it to the beach, and runs up to the immunity talisman, and wins immunity. Gohan is exhausted physically, mentally and now emotionally. However, he has the courage to smile and give the Tekken home girl a hug, as the others, one by one also make it back, all tired, and in Sakura’s case exhausted, but they congratulate Julia.)
Akito: Well done Julia, immunity for you, and a guaranteed 3 more days on the island. However…there is something else in this game for someone. You see, Sakura?
Sakura: (a bit out of breath) Huh?
Akito: I see you didn’t exactly do too well on today’s challenge…and I’m pretty sure the guy who nearly drowned getting there won’t be too happy…but then again…
Sakura: I’m…not….sure…I…follow…
Akito: Everyone you saved was a real person, mostly locals or camera crew. However, for winning the reward challenge today Sakura, a special person was invited to see you…
(The frogman takes off his mask…)
Akito: Say hello to Li Showron young Sakura!
Sakura: (ecstatic?) Li? You came to see me?
Li: (smiling that ‘smile only for Sakura’ smile) Hey Sakura.
(Sakura with tears, leaps into his arms and glomps him, a la Meilin, and Li, nervous at first, accepts it, as the group claps on, Gohan a bit more down in the dumps now….)

(Whilst the rest of the group goes back to the island, Sakura and Li are taken to an offshore land where they are given food and drink as they are allowed to spend 1 hour together)
Sakura: How come you came Li? I’m not complaining but I thought…
Li: Hey, I can worry about my fellow card captor can’t I…and a friend…
Sakura: Aww…
Li: (blushing and taking a drink of Pepsi…heh, just an off-hand pun relating to Globie, who is a Coke lover…sorry Globie, the coke wars don’t end yet…^_^) You think you can win this?
Sakura: (a bit solemn) I don’t know…I think tonight…Gohan, my last remaining friend from my old tribe could be gone…it could be me, I dunno…
Li: Never give up Sakura, you never would have been the person you are if you did. (a bit nervous) What about that Gohan?
Sakura: Huh?
Li: Well…not that I’m bothered….but he seems to like you.
Sakura: (blushes) Er…well…I like him too…
Li: WHAT?
Sakura: …but after this, we won’t see each other probably again, because of our different worlds. It just great getting to know these people before going back to the life of Reedington and the Clow Cards.
Li: (a bit relieved) They are all hoping for you Sakura, do us proud.
Sakura: Of course! (hugs him as the two sit down to eat)
(However, the other member of the former Helang isn’t enjoying his time at the moment…)

(Shot as Gohan is sitting cross-legged by the ocean, trying hard to concentrate, but he is most likely accepting his fate)
Gohan: I tried…but today, Julia was better, and I, or perhaps Sakura, is going to pay for it today.
(The former Ulah have mostly mixed feelings about the results, and the up and coming Tribal Council)
Julia: I think Gohan was glad that it was a close battle, but he wasn’t happy with the result. It’s a bit of a shame.
Tenchi: He’s is by far the strongest competitor on both sides of the islands, and I guess that edge of competitiveness he gives us brought out the best of us…
Duo: I saved him when we joined to vote off a common pest, and I think he has been surprised how long he has lasted, but I guess all things must come to an end.
Chun: It just means one step closer to winning though.
Shinji: If it was based on strength alone, Gohan would have won this no problem. However, it looks like he’s the next victim to fall…
(Gohan continues to meditate, a bit distraught, he doesn’t notice what goes on near him…)
(off screen): Bye Li, I’ll see you soon!
(Sakura creeps up to Gohan and taps him on the shoulder. Gohan wakes up from his trance, and turns to his Helang friend…and smiles a bit.)
Gohan: Hey, you alright?
Sakura: Yeah, it was great seeing Li again, I didn’t know he cared so much. (a bit solemn) What about you?
Gohan: (sighs) I think the Ulah guys realise that I need to be alone for the moment. It just…it’s just feels all my effort for nothing. I mean, today, no problem, Julia worked for it more, but I really needed it today…
Sakura: Gohan-kun (hugs him around the shoulders)…don’t give up.
(As echoing the words of Li and trying to comfort her island sweetheart, the Ulah tribe have noticed Sakura’s arrival with interest)
Chun: He wants to be left alone, and then she comes along and it’s all fine?
Tenchi: Oh come on Chun, it’s probably their last day alone, let them enjoy it!
Chun: This is favouritism you know. I keep saying that girl has the group under her little finger…
Julia: Hey, calm down. What’s gotten into you?
Chun: She knows she’ll be gone soon unless she wins immunity next time, and her boyfriend is going tonight, so why she trying to make things better in a hopeless situation…
(Suddenly Chun steps up and storms over to Gohan/Sakura)
Shinji: Huh…hey…w.wait a second!
(Too late, Chun, for what reasons, has made it to them…)
Chun: (sarcastic) Want to invite us to your little party?
Gohan: Leave us be Chun. I told you to respect my wishes for tonight, could you at least honour that?
Chun: Yes, honour you that, but not HER.
Sakura: (looking up) Huh, what do you mean?
Chun: I mean how you keep trying to make things better even when you know you’re boyfriend is going tomorrow? You seem so sure, so confident, well, news for you sweetie, in 3 days, it will be an all Ulah conquest unless you achieve the impossible, so you won’t have gotten anything you wanted.
Gohan: Hey, what crawled up your panties today? We have no idea…
Chun: I was talking to her you know.
Sakura: You know, you’re not exactly going to win any votes for the jury from Helang like this Chun…
(Suddenly, to Sakura, Gohan, and the rest of Ulahs shock, Chun slaps Sakura across the face, sending her to the floor. Sakura clings her cheek as Gohan in a second, leaps up and stares her in the face. Ulah also see it, and all start to run to the site, realising things are starting to get ugly.)
Gohan: HEY, WHAT WAS THAT FOR?
Chun: It’s fine for everyone to try and get your hopes up, but a spoilt brat running on an empty dream is something I can’t stand.
Gohan: I…am….becoming…amazing…calm…because if I attack you, I know that not even my Saiyan powers can stop me from what wrath the authorities can claim on me. But know this, when I get on that jury, and when she does, kiss any chance of you winning goodbye. And I hope, god damn it, that Ulah also realises what a spoilt little bitch you are…
(Gohan helps Sakura up, who is crying, whilst Ulah look on in surprise. Chun then realises the situation and feels a little faint)
Chun: Oh man…what the heck did I do?
Duo: Chun, calm down. The stress and lack of food is getting to you…
Tenchi: What was the point of that…you do realise that one of them will still be here tomorrow, and make damn sure your life will be a living hell.
Chun: (sighs) I guess. I can live with her for 3 more days. I did mean what I said…I just didn’t expect to do what I did.
(As Ulah go back to try and calm down, Shinji looks behind)
Shinji: That…just…isn’t…right…
(Shot of Gohan picking up Sakura, who is clinging onto him with a few tears, and sits back down near the beach, wiping a few tears. He looks behind at Ulah…)
Gohan: This isn’t over. As long as a Helang member remains, we’re gonna fight all the way…

(Night time, 10.08pm. Most of the group are asleep, drained from all of the days’ activities, both physically and emotionally. Tenchi gets up, ready to take a trip to the little boys room…)
(As he leaves, he hears a ‘Psst…’ from the hammock.)
Shinji: (quietly) Tenchi…
Tenchi: Yeah…
Shinji: Look at this…
(We see a shot of Tenchi and Sakura, still in the same position on the beach, Sakura, now with a small smile on her face, as Gohan strokes her hair)
Sakura: I never been more comfortable since arriving here than now…
Gohan: It’s the least I can do. After all, (sighs) we probably won’t be together tomorrow night to enjoy our time together.
Sakura: I’m glad.
Gohan: You know…this Li guy…is he…your (blushes) boyfriend?
Sakura: (giggles) Oh no, Li’s just a friend of mine. He helps me in my…well, profession you could say…I’m surprised he was the one who came here though, he’s not usually emotional or even to some extent friendly…I guess they miss me more than I thought…
Gohan: I couldn’t think of a person who wouldn’t miss you Sakura-chan.
Sakura: (blushes) Aww…thank you. (thinks) Gohan…
Gohan: Yeah?
(Sakura leans up and kisses Gohan on the cheek)
Gohan: (blushing like a tomato) Wh…wh…what was that for? (a bit rushed) I’m not complaining you, because we’ve been close, and you’re very pretty Sakura, but…
Sakura: (also blushing) I guess…it’s like a goodbye present. I do like you Gohan, but after this, we may not see each other again…
Gohan: Until we’re both on the jury. (smiles) Sakura, I’m just glad we had the time together to cherish. (kisses her on the forehead as the two blush a bit more. Sakura leans into Gohan’s arms and the two remain like that for a bit…)
(Shinji and Tenchi)
Tenchi: I’m not sure how I can break up something like that, but they’d better get inside…I’ll go break it to them…
Shinji: Yeah…
(As Tenchi has the hard job of trying to get the two to separate and to get into the tent, the next morning is going to be heated, the night…even worse…)

(Day 30, 9.00am.)
(Late morning, and the gang is all up, and eating their breakfast. The atmosphere is mostly quiet, however, last night escapades have made an interesting development between two of the Ulah members…)
Julia: Another last meal for one of us tonight…(watches Gohan washing out the bowls, and walks up to him)
Gohan: Huh? Oh hey, Julia.
Julia: Gohan, thanks for this morning. I’m glad you kept the tradition, despite everything.
Gohan: (smiles) Yeah.
(Gohan: Despite everything, I managed to get up for the sunrise, along with Julia, Tenchi, Sakura and Shinji. It was a nice peace bonding sequence, and I was surprised Shinji also came along with it. I don’t hate Ulah, but I know it’s going to be difficult at Tribal Council, to come this far, and have it slip away.)
(Breakfast finishing up, as everyone goes into their routines, with Council coming up, people are talking about tonight’s eviction as well…)
Duo: Sorry, but we take out Gohan. I’m not sure why you hate Sakura, but he is by far the biggest threat.
Chun: (sighs) I guess I can live with her for another 3 days.
Duo: You better calm down though, I don’t think you made too much of an impression on our tribe mates last night, Shinji looked like he was going to strike you.
Chun: You’re right. I guess I’d better be on my guard….
(Sakura and Gohan are enjoying a swim in the water, and are soon joined by Julia and Tenchi)
Gohan: I told you before, there is no hard feelings! (splashes Julia) Doesn’t mean I can’t have my revenge in a minute way though doesn’t it?
Julia: (laughs as she ducks underwater) Alright, Commander Masaki, ATTACK!
Tenchi: Yes, Lieutenant Chang! (retaliates with a splash as Sakura fall back, laughing)
(Shot as Shinji smiles, clearing up)
Shinji: I’m not if it’s intentional or not, but Julia and Tenchi are making themselves well liked for the jury like this. (smiles) Tonight however…ah, what the heck…
(In a surprising move, Shinji moves to the edge of the beach, and looks at the four…before firing machine gun like shots with his fingers of sand onto the four of them.)
Julia: (mockingly) Shinji, what was that four?
Shinji: Just happy to join in.
Gohan: Challenge accepted.
(Gohan and Tenchi run and grab a startled Shinji, and throw him in the water. The four laugh, and even Shinji chuckles…after he surfaces of course…)
(As Gohan and Sakura play around a bit more, Shinji and Tenchi look on as Julia get out to sunbathe for a bit)
Shinji: I guess in times like this, happiness is the best medicine. (smiles) I think I took quite a bit of it when I came here.
Tenchi: I think most of us have. With everyone here having mostly hectic lives, I guess this is almost like a vacation.
Shinji: (turns slightly) Hey…Tenchi…
Tenchi: Yeah?
Shinji: Well…
(However, Duo and Chun come out of the camp heading to talk to Julia. Shinji quickly stops talking.)
Shinji: (sighs) Never mind.
(Tenchi looks on at something, and smiles. He gets out of the water and gets to dry himself, as everyone prepares for what will be an interesting tribal council.)

(The camp, 6pm. Inside are all of Ulah, outside are Sakura and Gohan)
Sakura: I guess we’ll vote for Chun on principle.
Gohan: Yeah, with all our votes combined, she won’t have a chance to win.
Sakura: It’s all we can hope for.
(The two hug gently, thinking it’s the last time for a bit they’ll spend together)
(Inside the camp)
Julia: I don’t condone what you did Chun, but we’ll let it bye for the moment as Sakura doesn’t seem to care. We’ll vote for Gohan tonight, because of his strength, and he hasn’t got immunity.
Chun: O.K.
Duo: So, let’s go and remove one Saiyan from the ranks.
(They all start to leave, but Tenchi stops Shinji in his tracks for a second.)
Tenchi: Shinj?
Shinji: Tench?
Tenchi: Remember the night when you found out about me and Julia, and when I ‘confronted’ you?
Shinji: (slowly) Yeah…
Tenchi: Remember what I said…
(Shinji has a good think, and then smiles.)
Shinji: Yes.
Tenchi: I think, despite the risk it may have, tonight is a time to implement it. And hope that Helang goes the way as I think they do.
(The two shake hands, as a deal with the devils is made…they hurry up to catch up with the rest, unaware of what just happened…)

(Tribal Council, 8pm.)
(Shot as the group enter. Sakura hits the gong as the 7 soon to be 6 put their flames in their positions, where everyone’s fave Aesti pilot is waiting for the execution.)
Akito: Well, the lucky seven which have made it this far. It has been a tense few days, and immunity for Julia didn’t help. So, with that in mind, Julia, was it important to you to win immunity yesterday?
Julia: I guess it wasn’t important for me directly to win it, as they are people on this tribe who needed it far more than I did, however, I had to put in my effort to make sure they didn’t win, and also out of respect for their abilities.
Akito: True. You are the one guaranteed safety as well tonight, which leads us to someone who perhaps isn’t feeling so safe. Gohan, your abilities have been well documented, and indeed, well noticed by the fellow members of Sekutu, does that endanger you tonight?
Gohan: (sighs) I feel like those chickens we had back in the old tribes, ready for the onslaught.
Akito: A sad reality I guess, and that leads to the final question, your final ex-Helanger, Sakura, how do you feel in tonight’s Council?
Sakura: It’s almost a certainity that Gohan…or myself, I haven’t been confident coming up here that it might be me going as well, but even if there is one Helang member left, we will defend the honour of our tribe.
Akito: (smiles) With that in mind, we’ll introduce the two members of the jury watching the events. Akane Tendo and our newest member, Nene Romanova.
(Shot as Akane and Nene are sat, with smiles. Akane is wearing a DBZ shirt, whilst Nene is wearing a CC shirt.)
Akito: They will be watching the events as they unfold, and we shall begin them, with our immunity winner, Julia, if you please?
(The Tekken girl steps up and makes her way to the pedesal. She writes down her vote, ‘GOHAN.’)
Julia: Another sweetheart has to go tonight. Gohan, you are such a nice young man, but your strength is a threat to everyone. I know you won’t take this personally, so sorry.
(Next up is Tenchi, he votes. Then Duo, who votes ‘GOHAN.’)
Duo: We saved you once because of a joint bond. Now however, it’s 5 to 2 against you. Sorry bud, that’s the way it goes.
(Next up is Sakura. She votes ‘CHUN-LI.)
Sakura: I guess you could say we are continuing to tally the votes, but there is something personal in this vote as well. Li’s words have kept me going though, you’re not going to break my spirit.
(Next is Shinji, we don’t see his vote. Chun goes up, and votes ‘GOHAN.’)
Chun: I can survive another 3 days with her around. Gohan, however, you are her puppet, and tonight, your strings have been cut.
(Finally, Gohan votes, ‘CHUN-LI.’)
Gohan: Probably futile, but an effort to say ‘We don’t want you to win, and you haven’t got a chance after last night.’ Be grateful that I’m not allowed to do worse than vote for you.
(Gohan puts his slip into the jug, and Akito shakes it up.)
Akito: Gohan was the last to vote, I’ll count the votes.
(Akito does so, and seems to be a bit more intrigued than normal. He goes back and smiles, and draws the first one.)
Akito: Chun-Li.
(Chun sighs, expecting it.)
Akito: Gohan.
(Gohan nods, also expecting it.)
Akito: Gohan.
(Gohan has his eyes closed, Sakura’s arm around him)
Akito: Chun-Li.
(Chun nods, not too surprised.)
Akito: Gohan. That is 3 for Gohan, and 2 for Chun-Li.
(Gohan remains tense. However…)
Akito: Next vote…(slowly reveals it)…Chun-Li.
(At this, both Chun and Gohan’s eyes snap open. In fact, most of the tribe is confused, with the exception of two people, whose eyes are stone cold.)
Akito: It is tied. The next vote could be the decider…and it is. (reveals the final vote) Chun-Li.
(Chun’s mouth is wide open. Shocked, in despair, amazed, a range of emotions scattered around her pretty face. However, it is her names, and she has lost.)
Akito: Chun, could you please get your torch please?
(Chun, still in a state of shock, as is Gohan, as Sakura clings to him in delight, manages to kneel down to hug Duo, who is as surprised as everyone else. Shot of Julia, not that surprised at the result, but is scanning the group. Tenchi and Shinji are in stone silence.)
Akito: Chun-Li, as you know, fire represents your life on this island. Well, your life has come to an end, could you please extinguish your flame?
(Chun, with some hesitancy, snuffs it out.)
Akito: The tribe has spoken. Could you please leave?
(Chun turns, amazed…)
Chun: I didn’t think….oh god…I’m not sure who is the bigger idiots, you guys for voting me off, or me for trusting you…
(She leaves, the group a bit stirred, but not surprised.)
Akito: You may have signed your own death warrant, as Chun-Li becomes the third member of the jury…
(Shot of Akane and Nene, both also in shock, but with a few smiles on their faces.)
Akito: …and the 6 remaining will have at least another 3 days on the island, so collect your torches, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
(The 6 stand up, exiting, quiet, and amazed. Ladies and gentlemen, the game just took an unusual turn for the better…)

(Chun-Li’s confessional)
Chun: One moment of anger, and it cost me. I guess pressures of the island had been gradually catching up with me, and my worse side came out…and it’s over.
(Shot of Shinji’s vote, ‘CHUN-LI.’)
Shinji: You make think of this as a double-cross. I’m sorry Chun, but you’ve been bringing the worse out of a few people, and despite the risk it may bring, you need to go.
Chun: I know Shinji voted against me…the spineless worm…and I think it was either Tenchi or Julia who voted as well, probably Tenchi. I guess it won’t matter, but I’m sorry to what I did to Sakura. I was so confident of survival, and looks what happens…my over-confidence was my downfall.
(Shot of the key vote, Tenchi’s. ‘CHUN-LI.’)
Tenchi: I had been thinking of voting you off after Helang had gone, however, this is a good time as any. You are starting to make life hard for us now, and Sakura doesn’t deserve this treatment. Sorry Chun, it was fun for a while, but now, you have to go.)
Chun: I’ll guess depending on who is the final two, I’ll get my revenge on the jury. So, let’s the best person win…lucky puppies…

(Chun-Li was a popular member of the old Ulah, physically fit and able, and got into a good friendship with Duo Maxwell. However, when they merged, her obsession with winning and voting off Helang came to a climax when she slapped Sakura, and two members of Ulah didn’t like that. That culminated in a surprise elimination for the Chinese fighter.)
