ANIME AND GAME SURVIVOR: CHAPTER 13
CHAPTER 13: TWO COUPLES MINUS TWO SURVIVORS = NO COUPLES
This is basically the next two eliminations in one chapter, as this covers three days, and then one more chapter to go…
The title can only mean one thing….an interesting result. (What, you thought I was going to spoil it for you?)
There are no reward challenge now, just immunity and council. And they are going to hate every nervous moment of it, that’s for sure…
The tales of destiny are finally about to be told…

After Tribal Council, 11.45pm, Day 35
Tenchi: Hey, you O.K?
Julia: Yeah….
Tenchi: I never thought you had it in you…
Julia: I guess you could say it was payback for when you and Shinji voted off Chun, but still…
Tenchi: I think you’re right, this at least, makes it that we deserve it the most. Let’s not lose faith.
Julia: Sure…(calls out) hey Sakura, you alright?
Sakura: Give…me…a…minute….
(Sakura has collapsed after carrying a fainting Gohan, expecting to go then…)
Tenchi: (sweatdrops) I guess it was too much for the little guy…
Julia: Which one?
(As the group put out the fire they were round, they get ready for the last 3 days of the island before the group has to decide who wins one million pounds.)

Day 36: 8.00am.
(Shot of Akito watching the sunrise)
Akito: Yes, I’m back…and still in one piece, however, with just four left on the island, that money now becomes a issue. Only one of them is going to win it, and everything that has happened will haunt them. The jury is getting filled, but there is room for two more, before the final decision is made.
(The group is stirring up, as Gohan is already up and about, making breakfast)
(Gohan: Was I lucky? Did Julia make a mistake? I dunno…but I’m taking advantage of this. Every time I don’t get immunity, a real surprise always make their way for me. I know that my luck will run out, so if I have any chance of winning it, I need to win these last two immunities, and badly. However, on the negative side, everyone else on the island is impossible to dislike now.)
(Shot as Tenchi gets up and sees Gohan making a bit of rice.)
Gohan: Hey Tench. It’ll be ready in a minute.
Tenchi: Great. How’s the rationing?
Gohan: Enough for a few more days, we’ve still got some fish though…
Tenchi: That should be alright for the next few days. And yourself, are you O.K?
Gohan: (smiles) Yeah, I was surprised just a bit last night…
Tenchi: You were surprised when me and Shinji voted for Chun. You had a heart attack when Julia voted for Shinji.
Gohan: (chuckles) I never expected her to be that devious though…
Tenchi: (smiles) Just goes to show you…
Gohan/Tenchi: …YOU CAN’T TRUST WOMEN!
Julia/Sakura: (from camp) WE HEARD THAT!
Gohan/Tenchi: Nuts…
Sakura: If it wasn’t for the fact you’re watching the rice Gohan, you’d be in for some hurting…
Gohan: Goody!
Julia: However, you are under no such restrictions Tenchi dear…
Tenchi: Er….
(Tenchi runs madly as the two young ladies arm themselves with makeshift spears to try and get some Tenchi-kebab on a stick. Gohan chuckles to himself.)
Gohan: Compared to some of the stuff that has happened to me, this is a walk in the park…and win or lose, I’ll miss it.

Sakura: Are you sure?
Julia: Nope.
Sakura: No last minute attempts to disturb the tribe?
Tenchi: Nope.
Sakura: You mean this is actually going to be peaceful?
Gohan: (smiles) Nope.
Sakura: Well…true, but…
(Sakura: It’s so hard to imagine being without these guys. I mean, this is it, it’s so close to the end, and most of us probably won’t see each other again…it’s been a blast…)
(Gohan puts a timid arm around her as Sakura rests on it)
Julia: I guess we should enjoy what we’ve got whilst it lasts…
Tenchi: Trust me, if this is broadcast in a certain house, I don’t think either of us have got long enough to live. (to Gohan) If either of us win, can we use the money to hire you as a bodyguard against a demonic space pirate, a mythical princess and a mad scientist?
Gohan: Let me think…(quick recalls the phone call)…no.
Tenchi: Darn it.
(Tenchi: One of us four will become a millionaire after this, it will change a person’s life that’s for sure. The rest of us will return to our sub-normal lives, I don’t think a super saiyan, a magical girl and someone like me could ever have a normal life. Guess that is what attracted me to Julia in the first place, compared to us, and despite the hardships she’s had, she is just a normal down to earth girl. I wish I really met someone like that…)
(Again, this take place not in Tenchi In Tokyo time…^_^)
Julia: Hey, is Sakura asleep?
Sakura: No…just resting.
Julia: She likes using you as a pillow Gohan…
(Gohan blushes as the young Saiyan tries in vain to find a hole to hide in…)
(Julia: Every one of us has had a different life, ever since the start of the survivor. This island has been a hell for my parents and friends once, but a heaven for me since meeting everyone here. I felt I have warmed to everyone. Almost every vote since Davis has been very difficult to me, and I know I practically collapsed betraying Shinji, which wasn’t in my nature. However, I felt it was right.)

(Shot of a jungle area where Akito is, and explains what is about to happen)
Akito: In this near 100 degree heat, is going to be the searching place for today’s immunity. As the penultimate one, they know that survival is the real name of the game now…
(Back to group)
Julia: It’s almost time for immunity….
Tenchi: Already….man that sucks…
Sakura: We get off one council, now we have to fight each other all out again to survive…
Gohan: Ladies, gentlemen…and Sakura…
Sakura: Hey!
Gohan: …time to go into the abyss…
(The tribe is already suffering from the heat, it’s going to get a lot worse…)

Time, 11.30am, Immunity Challenge
(Shot of the group sitting on a log, where Akito watches them with interest.)
Akito: Well my little fishes, how are we today?
Tenchi: Sweating.
Akito: You’ll be sweating a lot more in a minute…(Groans from the group)…because this challenge will test both your physical and mental limitations to their highest. This challenge requires brains and brawn as a bear once quote in an old copy of a Disney video…
Sakura/Gohan: GET ON WITH IT!
Akito: I guess some people have no respect for the classics…oh well…anyway, the challenge is one word. Orienteering.
(A smile is shown on Julia’s face, a skilled practitioner of the art…)
Akito: This challenge will be quite difficult, and I hope you learnt stuff about your fellow contestants and animes because that will be vital to your victory or defeat…
(Shot of the jungle overhead and what they have to do.)
Akito: You’ll be each given a compass, and a map with instructions where to go. Follow the directions, and you will come to two points. These will have questions. Answer it, whether right or wrong, and continue. If it’s right, nothing happens, but wrong, and you are deducted 5 minutes from your time.
(Shot of the open field we saw when Akito first introduced the challenge)
Akito: You will eventually come to an open field where you need to follow the instructions you will receive when you get there. In the sand and dirt there are 4 mini-talismans. Basically, the challenge is whoever finds it quickest wins.
(Nods from the group, Sakura looks a bit nervous…)
Akito: You will start with 5 minute intervials, and we’ll go in alphabetical order, so if Gohan steps up first…
(The group look on as the Saiyan takes a hold of the compass and the map. He quickly has a look at it, feels the heat of the sun and looks direct into the jungle, his mind focused.)
Akito: GO!
(As Gohan goes, the screen shows the first question that he’ll have to tackle once he makes it to the stump with the bell on it.)
Which of these animes has a character in it nicknamed ‘Belle’?
(Gohan isn’t a skilled orienterier, however, his brute force and speed makes up for that, plus his desire to win. He has experience using a compass in the form of a dragon radar, and with his skills, he manages to find the stump with the bell at around the 4 minute mark…)
Gohan: O.K, let’s see…
(As Gohan is pondered the question, Julia is ready to enter the abyss…)
Akito: GO!
(Julia has navigated her homelands and the Mishima islands many times, but obviously she doesn’t have the strength that Gohan does. She calmly goes through the jungle using her skills so that she doesn’t get tired.)
(Back at the stump, Gohan has ticked the correct answer, Oh! My Goddess! (Belldandy) and is on his way to the second place where he needs to answer a question, a grass area where they are plenty of synthetic flowers planted)
The question;
Which of these anime doesn’t have anything named after a flower?
(For those who don’t know, the answer is 2. CCS is obvious, and in Nadesico, we have the ‘Chulips’ which in the dub, seemed to be pronounced as ‘Tulips.’ Go figure.)
(Julia navigation skills are calm, and she gets to the stump a minute faster than Gohan. However, there is a problem…she hasn’t got a clue about anime, being the only remaining game character left in the game…)
Julia: Nuts…
(She figures that it’s not Tenchi Muyo, so hazards a guess at Kodomo No Omocha. It’s wrong, so unknown to Julia, she has lost 5 minutes to her time. She continues onto to find the second area, a bit further than the first one.)
(As the two proceed to not get themselves lost, Sakura is up, nervous.)
Sakura: I’m not very good at using a compass…
Akito: Sorry sweetheart, that’s how it goes….GO! (And Yurika will kill me after hearing that part…)
(Sakura vanishes like a wisp in the wind into the forest, simply hoping to find it as quickly as possible. Problem is, she has no idea where she is going…)
Sakura: Just follow the map Sakura…
(Sakura is also struggling with the heat. As Sakura adapts to her surroundings, Gohan is finally coming up to the grass area…)
Gohan: Hey…there’s an open area there…that must be it…
(His voice is heard by Julia though, and the Tekken fighter tries to track down the voice. Gohan makes it to the area and looks at the question…)
Gohan: Let’s see…well I know the obvious one…and let’s have a think…
(He thinks what he knows about Nene, and decided there was nothing obvious about a flower, so guesses at Nadesico. He is right again, and now he has to follow the map with compass to the open field.)
(By now, Julia has closed the cap from 5 minutes to about 2 ½ minutes behind Gohan, but she doesn’t know about the penalty, and she could suffer another one if she gets this wrong…)
Julia: Oh dear…
(Fortunately, she also guesses correctly about Nadesico, deducting that it can’t be CCS and has a 1 in 2 chance of getting it right. It’s time to head out.)
(Sakura however is only just starting to get close to the stump, and Tenchi is ready to go as well…)
Akito: The last one…GO!
(Tenchi, like Julia, decided to play it carefully by simply using his instincts and slidng into the jungle calmly. Sakura, not so calm, finally manages to reach the stump, but Tenchi is only about 2 minutes behind her now…)
Sakura: (out of breath) O.K…
(Sakura’s mind is not on the question as she guesses Tenchi Muyo. Wrong, and Sakura is even further back than before….meanwhile, Gohan has arrived at the plain. He sees a box with 4 scrolls in it, each with a letter, G/J/S/T. He takes the G one and opens it…)
(NOTE: All the scrolls are different, as they lead to a different place…the answer is in brackets, but of course, the survivors don’t see them)
Gohan: Let’s see…
(Gohan’s scroll…)
Take the number of Sukaku warriors north (7) from where you entered. Next, take the number of Knight Sabers (4) east, and then the number of blue haired girls from Eva, Sailor Moon and Nadesico (4: Rei, Ami, Yurika and Ruri) multiplied by the amount of pokemon a trainer can hold at one time (6 = 24) north. Finally, half the amount of episodes there are of Love Hina (24 – not counting the two specials, or the OVA series) west and dig.
(Note: Since then I’ve learnt there is a 25th episode…for now though I’m keeping with what I know)
Gohan: Oh dear…
(Gohan starts his accent, going on a guess for the first one by looks of things and hopes he reaches it. Meanwhile, Tenchi has made it to the first stump, a bit slower than Julia, just behind Gohan. He answers it correctly and heads into the jungle for more trouble.)
(By now, the heat is starting to become unbearable, and as Julia enters, her head is dripping sweat…)
Julia: Ohayo, Gohan-kun!
(Gohan waves to his adopted mother as Julia takes the scroll…)
Julia’s scroll…
Take the number of street fighters in Street Fighter Alpha 3 whose name begins with the letter S (3 – Sakura, Sodom and Sagat) to go east, and then go the amount of Final Fantasy games ever released to this day worldwide (10 at the moment…has 11 been released in Japan…) north. Then multiply all the Ranma characters with a curse (6…Ranma, Ryoga, Shampoo, Genma, Mousse and Tarou…) by how many Tenchi movies there are (3) to go directly east. Finally, go due south the amount of Season 1 Digidestined (8) + the amount of Super Saiyans BEFORE Gohan grows up…(4 – Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks…)
Julia: This must be a different universe…
(Julia’s mind begins to ponder as she has a think of what she knows and what she doesn’t. Back in the jungle, Sakura is really struggling as she finds the second opening, about half a minute before Tenchi arrives…)
Sakura: This isn’t good…
(To make matter worse, Sakura guesses incorrectly that the answer was BGC2040. And Tenchi also gets it wrong as well, guessing BGC2040 as well. Tenchi helps Sakura as they make it out of the jungle together.)
(At the moment, it could be close because Julia and Tenchi have been the quickest out of there, however they have one penalty each, whilst Gohan has none. Sakura is the slowest PLUS has two penalties.)
(Tenchi and Sakura take their scrolls as we see both Gohan and Julia mostly looking round…)
Tenchi’s scroll…
The number of Sailor Scouts in the Sailor S Movie (9 – Inner Senshi, Outer Senshi and Chibi-Moon…) east, then multiply the number of digidestined AND tamers which wear goggles (3 – Tai, Davis, Takato) with the amount of minor characters in Pokemon which have appeared TWICE in the dubbed Johto season (6 –Captain Aiden, Casey, Suzie, Duplica, Aya and that Snubble owner who I never seem to remember her name, Todd has appeared more than twice…) north, then go half the amount of Nadesico episodes west (13 of 26) and finally go south the number of Ranma fighters who use weapons more than straight hand to hand (4 – Mousse, Ukyo, Kodachi and Tatewaki) plus the number of Card Captor Sakura movies (2).
Tenchi: How the heck am I supposed to know any of this?
(Simple, because after 5 minutes of receiving their scroll, they will be given one answer that they choose from Akito, who has made his way over there by helicopter….)

The number of character you can select in Mario Advance 1 (4) north, then go east half the Fushigi Yuugi episodes list (26 of 52) take away the amount of badges you need to win to enter a Kanto or Johto tournament (8, 26 – 8 = 18) west. The volumes of Kimagure Orange Road released in the UK (4) south and to end it, go east the number of Sailor Moon Movies (3) multiplied by the number of Eva pilots seen in the series (5 – Shinji, Asuka, Rei – and also counting Touji and Kaworu.)
Sakura: Hoeeeeee….
(So the time for mindless searching begins. Let’s see how they are doing…)
Gohan – Does know two of the answers (The Pokemon and BGC ones), at the five minute mark, asks for the Fushigi Yuugi one. Now he has got a base to work from. He goes back to the beginning and does the first two calculations before deciding to guess (knowing the girl question will be a low answer).
Julia – Trying to remember all the Ranma characters and having a think about the Street Fighter question. She asks for the Final Fantasy one, fairly sure the Tenchi one is 3. She still chasing a needle in a hastestack though.
Tenchi – Struggling with a lot, is only partially sure of the Sailor Moon and Digimon ones, and asks for the Pokemon answer.
Sakura – Having the toughest time of all and asks for the KOR answer.
(After another 5 minutes since they got there, they can ask for another answer…Gohan is looking the most sure of all four, however Julia is using common sense to work out some of the answers, whilst Tenchi is being as calm as possible. After another 5 minutes, Gohan gets first option, and asks for the Love Hina answer. After getting it, he retraces his steps. When he gets to the only answer he doesn’t know, the blue haired girls one, he plays it smart.)
Gohan: It’s six times something, so it must be small. I’ll start with twelve steps, then go onto eighteen, and so on until I find it.
(As Gohan is now mostly sure where to look, Julia is also on the path, and Tenchi follows soon after. However, Sakura, even with a second answer, is really starting to struggle…)
Sakura: I…can’t…handle…this…
(A warm hand is put on her shoulder. Akito’s.)
Akito: Listen, if you don’t think you can carry on, you can leave the challenge…
(Sakura looks at herself, then at Akito, and at her hard working teammates. She really is struggling, but doesn’t want to quit…)
Sakura: No…I’ll continue…
(Akito nods, but it does seem a losing battle for Sakura. Fortunately for Sakura, the challenge is about to end.)
* * * *
(We get a shot of four dirty exhausted survivors, and three of them hold an immunity talisman. Akito goes up to them…)
Akito: Well, well, what have we been up to? Four dirty survivors…and three of you managed to find your item. Young Sakura here decided that she was too far behind to catch up with you so she forfeited continuing on, so Tenchi, Julia and Gohan…it’s all up to you…
(All three nod, looking exhausted)
Akito: Tenchi, you finished it in 27 minutes, 14 seconds. Well done.
(Tenchi smiles, happy that he finished)
Akito: Gohan, you finished in 25 minutes, 24 seconds.
(Gohan is relieved.)
Akito: Julia, you finished in a lovely 22 minutes, 49 seconds, meaning that you were the fastest through it…
(Julia is ecstatic…for the moment, because she releases that Akito hasn’t declared her the winner…)
Akito: However, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve won. You all had two questions to get right, and if you didn’t, 5 minutes docked off your time.
Tenchi: Nuts…
Akito: Julia, you also got one wrong, making you 27 minutes. If Gohan has got one wrong, you win…
(He turns to Gohan with a smile)
Akito: And aren’t you the little otaku Gohan? No wrong answers…meaning you finish with 25 minutes, enough for you to win immunity! Congratulations!
(All 4 are weary, but that doesn’t stop them congratulations the young Saiyan, disappointed or not, only one could win this penultimate one.)

(The trip back to camp is weary. All four are exhausted, Gohan has offered to carry Sakura a number of times, which she has refused. Julia seems a bit disappointed, as Tenchi simply wanted to clean up.)
(Julia: I had it in the palm of my hands, I guess it comes down not just to strength and skill, but smarts as well. I can live with the disappointment though, Gohan again escapes our grasp…)
Camp: 2.45pm.
(The group are tired, but they decided the best way to relax is to wash themselves up. It’s almost like a public baths as Sakura and Julia are helping washing each other on one side, as Tenchi and Gohan simply snooze on another side)
Sakura: (sings) Singing in the bathtub….
Julia: Aahhh….this is good.
(They look at the two guys almost asleep…)
Julia: Aww…they look so cute…
Sakura: Yeah…
(Suddenly, Julia smiles.)
Julia: Hey Sakura, want to play a little trick….
Sakura: Huh?
(Julia whispers in the young girls ear, Sakura’s eyes widen, almost in fear as Julia whispers something.)
Sakura: Julia….that’s a bit…er…
Julia: It’s not like we’re gonna for real…
Sakura: But…
Julia: (giggles) Heh, you’re all flustered. How do you think they are going to feel…
Sakura: Well…I guess seeing those two bent outta shape would be good….O.K…
(The two girls begins to wash themselves as Tenchi and Gohan doze. Suddenly…)
Sakura: Owwww….that was a sharp bit of soap…hit me in that spot…
Julia: Oh, are you alright? Let’s have a check…
Sakura: O..O…kay….wow, your fingers are so smooth…
Julia: Well, it’s like your skin is so soft…
Sakura: (giggles) Hey, that tickles, don’t touch me there…
(By this time, Tenchi and Gohan’s ears are opening…and are starting to sweat…)
Julia: Aww…come on, let’s kiss…
(They are officially wide awake as they see…)
Julia: Psyche!
(Sakura bobs her tongue at them as Gohan and Tenchi are officially spooked for life…)
Gohan: Geez…you’d think in a reality fic, there would at least be one fic without any yaoi or yuri synagghans…
Tenchi: Name one that does.
Gohan: Er…now that you mention it, aw screw it, Tenchi…
(Gohan whispers into Tenchi’s ear…and no, we are not gonna have a repeat psyche for you perverts out there…^_^)
(Tenchi grins and suddenly both guys are underwater…as the girls are still laughing so much…)
(…and are shocked as the two guys appear in front of their significant others…and give them a quick kiss on the lips…before swimming the heck outta there…)
Sakura: Hey…
Julia: …that wasn’t part of the plan!
Sakura/Julia: Let’s get ‘em!
(The form of relaxing involving chasing each other, as the girls try to beat the heck out of the guys…it’s a normal night on Survivor…)
(Gohan: Winning immunity was important, but not as important as the fact that after it, no-one mentioned anything about it, as if it didn’t matter. The four of us are friends and it is nice to spend a relaxing day after winning that very hard immunity. I think that in the end, I was a bit lucky, but luck counts as much as skill.)
(Tenchi: I never knew that Julia had such a devil streak…in the end though, it doesn’t matter, as one of us is going tomorrow night…and Julia and I have made a pact to stay together as long as possible so…)
(Sakura: It can’t get much closer than it is, and with Gohan immune, I’m the natural target. We simply have to reply in earnest…at least it has come this close…)

9.53pm.
(Pitch black on the island, as the final four contemplate their final night together as a four around a fire. The exhaustion is still in effect as we see Sakura curled up on Gohan’s lap like it’s the comfiest thing on the planet. Tenchi simply has her arm around Julia’s shoulders, although the Tekken fighter look asleep…)
Tenchi: That took a lot of us…(spots Gohan in deep thought)…hey, you O.K?
Gohan: Yeah…I’m just thinking of everything that has happened the past month.
Sakura: Yeah…it’s been interesting to say the least…
Tenchi: You’re telling me. We had to vote off a psycho from a Brother’s Grimm story, then Davis got hurt and of course, you know all about the Serena fiasco…
Sakura: Don’t we such…
Gohan: We had the customary ‘remove a Monster Rancher as quickly as we could’ vote, then an ex, X-man…try saying that three times fast….(sadly)…eliminating Vivi and Gary wasn’t easy…
Julia: (stirring) I think we can…(yawns)…all say that we haven’t enjoyed voting certain people off…
Gohan: Yeah…
Julia: O.K, most difficult person to vote off. Go.
Sakura: Vivi. No question….
Gohan: Probably Shinji, he was starting to really gel and he gets cut off without warning…
Tenchi: I’d say Chun…mainly because it was a decision that would affect the rest of the game. Which it did…
Julia: I’d go with Akane just ahead of Shinji. I really did like her and I knew if she remained on, I would find it more and more difficult to vote her off…
(The group is quiet for a moment…)
Sakura: At least we can say we’ve had an interesting time…
Gohan: The highlight was Tenchi receiving his phone call though…
(All giggle as Tenchi has the right to become embarrassed…)
Sakura: No…I’m not so sure about that…
(We see Sakura grips Gohan’s hand, enough so that it’s the Saiyan’s turn to be a bit red…)
Julia: (smiles) I think I know what you mean…
(The final four go to sleep, content with happy memories of their experiences here…for the moment. The next night, they will have to cut another one…)

Day 37: 9.00am
(The group have watched their last sunrise as a foursome, comfy with each other’s presence. For this today, they’ve decided to be lazy and just relax in the camp, not really asleep…but not really wanting to get up either.)
Gohan: Just…
Sakura: …five…
Tenchi: …more…
Julia: …minutes…
(The group are doing a fair impression of original AAVGS host Misato, all sprawled out not really having a care in the world. For one of them, their world on the island will end…)
(Suddenly, an earthquake sound surrounds the room…)
Sakura: Gohan!!!
(Gohan, a bit embarrassed at the rumbling of his tummy…)
Gohan: Heh…I guess I better use the little of the fresh fish to make a deserving feast for the four remaining survivors…
Sakura: Hey, don’t think you’re leaving without me buddy…
(Sakura and Gohan leave, to prepare one final breakfast for the remaining group)
Julia: I dunno how we’re gonna do this…it’ll break their hearts…
Tenchi: I just hope it doesn’t end up like a round-robin thing…hey, maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll vote seperately…
Julia: Fat chance…
Tenchi: Point taken. But for now, let’s just enjoy the time we’ve got left…
Julia: (smiles) Of course. (gives Tenchi a kiss on the cheek)
(They walk out as Gohan has quickly made a fire, and they are using the last of the fish before removing the unusable and the rotting remains into the strong sea. Thanks to the fish, their rice rations have been holding out…just…)
Sakura: Morning!
Gohan: Ohayo!
Tenchi/Julia: Ohayo!
(The group don’t say much during breakfast, knowing that there really isn’t much needed to be said.)

Time: 1.00pm
Sakura: It sucks, now I really feel guilty…
Gohan: It’s going to be split down the middle, and I don’t think either one of you is going to budge.
Sakura: Who you going to go for? Julia or Tenchi?
Gohan: Tough one to call…personally, I think Julia is the bigger threat with the jury, cause Akane and her got along a lot, although Shinji may vote against her now. Chun will vote with her definitely…Duo…not so sure…
Sakura: So….go for Julia?
Gohan: I’m not sure…that’s the thing. Julia left me on the island last time, I feel I owe her a favour. Also, she said about deserving to be her…do you think that sometimes that Julia has carried Tenchi a bit?
Sakura: Hoe?
Gohan: Nothing against Tench, but I do feel she has been the brains of the operation between the old Ulah.
Sakura: Look…I’m not going to get confused, can we just say who you going to vote for?
Gohan: (sighs) Fine. We’ll go for Julia…doesn’t mean I have to like it…
Sakura: Right.
(a brush of wind goes past them as they begin cleaning up, as Sakura feels a slight chill)
Gohan: What’s wrong?
Sakura: Nothing…it just feels like one of my premotionary dreams…like I know something bad is going to happen…or I’ve forgotten something…
(As Sakura ponders, Julia and Tenchi are enjoying a nice sunbathe)
Tenchi: This long away from the home…if Kiyone was here, she’d been in heaven, away from Mihoshi for so long…(yes, an indirect reference to Roomies…keep it up FF!)
Julia: I wondered if any of my other friends will have done well like this. Uncle Lei might have…
Tenchi: Uncle?
Julia: (giggles) Not really my uncle, just a tag I give him, but he took care of me and Xiaoyu chan during the tournament quite well, as well as Jin-kun.
Tenchi: As long as he doesn’t rip me to shreds…
Julia: (smiles) With your kendo skills, I’d like to see that as a match in the Tekken tournaments...
Tenchi: Don’t push it…

(Sadly, the time has come, and the sun has made way to darkness. The four survivors before going to the boat, put her hands together in the centre like Yugi and his friends did at the start of Yu-Gi-Oh, hoping that here, their bond won’t be broken, and no matter what happens, they will remember each other…)
(The journey to Tribal Council, already long…has been made longer because of the sheer nervousness of the close group. At 8.15pm, they finally make it, as a slightly worried Akito wonders of the delay. The group get off, as Tenchi rings the gong, as the final four place their torches, one ready to be extinguished…)
Akito: Well, and now the final four…surprisingly, we have a split between old Ulah and old Helang. Before we get to the nasty stuff, we’d like to introduce Shinji Ikari to the jury…
(Shot of a relaxed Shinji, on the second row, the first row consisting of Akane, Nene, Chun and Duo, with Shinji taking the first spot on the top row. Unsurprisingly, he is behind Nene, and not also surprisingly, it seems Akane, Nene and Shinji are talking one strategy and Chun and Duo are talking another…)
Akito: Well, another day…and another immunity Gohan. You’ve always been perceived as a threat, but you’ve always won immunity mostly to back that up. Today makes it a final three place guaranteed, so how does it feel?
Gohan: Like I don’t want to take orienteering as a hobby…(they all chuckle)…however, I think at this stage, immunity is vital, and with just one more left, it is make or break between a million pounds. I don’t think anyone here would like to ignore that chance…
Akito: Sakura, does that mean that you are the piece of meat to be devoured?
Sakura: I’m not sure about that…but at this point, I can safely say I’ve enjoyed myself on the whole…and I hope that in some form or another, I will keep these people and memories within my heart….
Akito: You have a bad feeling about tonight Tenchi?
Tenchi: I think losing anyone at this point is a struggle for everyone…but it just means another step closer for the remaining three…I just hope that by the end of this, it’ll be bygones be bygones.
Akito: Julia, as the eldest, you are seen as the mother…how do you see people like Gohan and Sakura doing so well when your old ‘family’ were in so much control?
Julia: It had a dramatic impact on the game, but the two of them are absolute sweethearts, and they deserve everything in the future. It may be a million, it might not be, but whatever it is, they deserve it…
Akito: I’m sorry it has to come to this….Gohan, immunity winner, lead us off…
(Shot of Gohan making his vote, ‘JULIA’.)
Gohan: I’m sorry Julia, any chance we have of winning, we need to take out the most popular person. To my honorary mother of the island, thank you.
(Julia’s vote is next, ‘SAKURA-CHAN’)
Julia: I’m sorry Sakura, you were like a sister, a daughter, to me…this is just as hard as my last vote, I’m…forgive me…
(Tenchi is up. He votes ‘SAKURA’)
Tenchi: Such a sweet, innocent and cute girl…Sasami would have loved to have met you Sakura…I just hope your dreams remain as pure and as sweet as you are…
(Sakura finally goes up, ‘JULIA.’ She also writes ‘OKA-SAN’ just below it)
Sakura: Julia….I can’t say anything…
(Sakura returns, as Akito climbs up.)
Akito: I’ll go tally the votes.
(Akito grabs the urn and draws. First vote, ‘SAKURA-CHAN.’
Akito: Sakura.
(Sakura nods.)
(Next vote is JULIA-OKASAN…)
Akito: Julia.
(The Tekken fighter nods.)
(Next vote, JULIA.)
Akito: Julia.
(Julia’s bows her head down.)
(Last vote, SAKURA.)
Akito: And to no-one’s surprise, Sakura.
(All sigh.)
Akito: I was afraid it was going to come to this. I’m going to ask this first, I don’t think Gohan and Tenchi are going to change their votes…are you?
(Both guys shake their heads unsurpisingly…)
Akito: (sighs) So I’m afraid it comes to the tied votes. So, Sakura, could you please get your torch?
(However, Sakura’s eyes widen up.)
Sakura: Huh? I thought we had tied…neither of us had a vo…
Akito: Sorry, Sakura, I’ll refer you to episode 9, where Nene was voted off…
(Akito takes out another Washu-diagram board…and the results of the vote are clear as poor Sakura finally remembers…)
EPISODE 9 VOTE RESULTS

(Sakura glances over at Shinji, and at Nene, who are both a bit sad. Sakura also is very disappointed…she forgot about that one vote…and she pays for it…)
Akito: So Sakura, I’m sorry…but will you get your torch please?
(Sakura gets up, wiping a few tears from her eyes, and collects the torch. Gohan is very upset, whilst both Tenchi and Julia have their heads down. Sakura gets the flame, with a sweet smile on her face.)
Akito: Sakura, as you know, fire represents your life on the island. It’s burnt bright and strong for a long time, but tonight the fire ends. Will you please extinguish your flame?
(Sakura does so.)
Akito: The tribe has spoken. You must leave.
(Sakura moves to her three remaining tribemates. She smiles.)
Sakura: I guess this is something else Tori is going to make fun of me about…
(Julia looks up and giggles. Just like Sakura to make light of the situation. Julia is the first to give her ‘daughter’ a hug, as the jury and Akito aren’t waiting for Sakura to leave. As they let go, Sakura gives Julia a quick kiss on the cheek before going to Tenchi. Again, the two hug and she does the same to the Jurian prince. Finally, the main event. Gohan.)
Sakura: Gohan?
(The Saiyan lifts his head to meet his sweetheart’s eyes. Sakura cups his chin.)
Sakura: (whispers) I’ll be waiting for you…go and win this…
(Sakura kisses Gohan softly, sweetly and for a fair few seconds on the lips. Gohan hugs her during this, as violin music cascades around the air…)
Akito: Hey Izumi, what you doing here?
(Yep, Nutbar Izumi Maki and Hikaru Yamada have joined there, as it isn’t a violin, it’s a ukelele…)
Izumi: Wow, it’s like a hentai novel that Hikaru would right, only not as short…or as sticky…
Akito: (sweatdrops) Akane…
Akane: (from the jury) With pleasure…
(5 seconds later, the two Aesti pilots are blasting off…)
Akane: Aren’t you glad you made me a member of the jury?
(Back at the scene, Sakura finally lets go and softly touches Gohan’s hair.)
Sakura: See ya!
(The three wave at Sakura, Gohan now smiling with the best of them. Sakura finally skips down the path to exile, as the penultimate jury member has been decided.)
Akito: To say that tore at your heartstrings would be an understatement…even the most heartened hearts…huh?
(Shot as Chun-Li is sobbing into Duo’s arms from the scene. Thus, everyone else commences sweatdropping…)
Akito: O.K…so I guess Julia, Tenchi and Gohan are our final three. And the final immunity…will happen tomorrow night.
(All gasp.)
Akito: So you better beware, because tomorrow is going to be a hot one…but for now, re-claim your torches and I will see you tomorrrow…
(The group leaves, happy that they survived, but sad at a loss of a member they cared for, and defended for on more than one occasion…)

Sakura: I am so going to get stick for that mistake! And I’m going to kill Shinji for that vote, and for Nene for being so seductive…then again, I won’t, because this has been a better experience than I thought…and although I’ll be cheering for Gohan, if Julia and Tenchi win it, I won’t die of depression…so go guys!

Day 37
(The warm night was silent inside the camp as Sakura’s eviction from the island wasn’t a pleasant one.)
7.00am.
(Shot of Gohan outside staring at the ocean)
Gohan: I guess I kind of expected it…but I guess it was my own fault for not remembering Shinji’s vote either. Either way, we weren’t going to win because of my votes so a Helang member was going to go. For Sakura and the rest of my tribemates, Vivi, Gary, Akane, Nene…I’ve got to win this immunity.
(In the tent, Tenchi and Julia are awake and talking quietly)
Tenchi: It’s all in his hands now…
Julia: I just the sweetie hasn’t taken it too hard…
Tenchi: Considering the fact that he hasn’t cut us to ribbons…and the fact that he’ll see everyone else again later today…I think he’s fine.
Julia: (smiles) We’re still tight?
Tenchi: I’m not voting for you tonight unless a gun is pushed down my throat…or if Gohan wins immunity obviously….
Julia: (sweatdrops) I guess I’ll forgive you if that happens…we just got to hope amongst hope that he doesn’t…
Tenchi: And if he does…
(Julia leans against his shoulder in a warm embrace)
Julia: Then we’ll just say goodbye. I’ve loved every moment of our time Tench, so let’s not ruin it…
Tenchi: (smiling) Yeah…besides I’ll probably won’t be alive after this survivor after Ryoko and Ayeka watch this…
Julia: O.K…I suppose I could arrange an immigration then…
Tenchi: (smiles) Don’t push it…

(Breakfast was a small affair of rice, as with the end coming so near, eating has become second fiddle to nerves, thinking and strategy. Although Julia and Tenchi’s strategy is obvious, Gohan has been thinking more and more…)
(Shot of the beach as Julia and Tenchi are simply swimming and talking. Gohan is having a sunbathe, trying to relax as much of his muscles before tonight.)
Gohan: If I win immunity, then I have the power. I decide who stays and who goes….that also means breaking up Julia and Tenchi. I also have to think about who may vote for who…Helang will hopefully stick with me, but that leaves 4 members of Ulah…Duo and Shinji may vote for me, if Tenchi is there that won’t happen, but if Julia is there….Chun will vote with her, and the suspicion of what Akane said means I can’t guarantee their vote either….gah, why does this have to happen?
(Suddenly, in dramatic fashion, a tidal wave splashes upon the Saiyan)
Gohan: One minute, I’m thinking out loud, the next, I’m all wet.
Julia: Gohan, come on, join us, it’s the last time we’ll spend together, we might as well enjoy it!
Gohan: (smiles) Ah…what the heck? I’m wet anyway…
(Gohan goes in to join in for a bit of fun. For perhaps the last time on the island, as the final immunity is coming…at Tribal Council.)

(The day passes quite slowly for the group, nerves catching up with them. None of them expected to get this far, but they have made it.)
(The sun goes down as the orange sunset is the last the three of them together watch it for the final time. It’s a signal that Survivor is coming to a close.)
Julia: We have to go soon…
Tenchi: I know, I’m just enjoying it as much as possible before tonight.
Gohan: Yeah…
(Julia notices how uncomfortable it is for him and quickly sits in between Gohan AND Tenchi and puts an arm around both of them. Gohan smiles and rests on the tree as the group enjoy the orange glow which illuminates the island.)
Gohan: At times like this, I could watch this forever…
Tenchi: It makes you think that this was all worth it, that the money didn’t matter…
Julia: …for me, it was never the money, it was the challenge. I came and conquered my fears, and I’m happy.
Gohan: I guess we’d better move though…I’m not carrying the both of you to the boat so come on…
(Very reluctanctly, the three move off, to progress to Tribal Council…and the final immunity challenge…)

(The jury spots the group coming in. The bench has been now split into three parts, which is ironic. The top shelf has Sakura and Nene, the middle Akane and Shinji, the final one has Duo and Chun, a testiment to who they are going to vote for…)
(Tenchi enters and hits the gong, as the three remaining survivors, just 24 hours off voting off Sakura, have to go through one final agony. To the surprise of them, both Akito Tenkawa AND Misato Katsuragi are there…)
Misato: Hoped you’d seen the last of me eh Shinji?
(Shinji just puts his head down as Nene and Sakura snicker)
Misato: Well, to our three remaining survivors, I’m back…because both me and Akito are going to say something before we explain the final immunity.
Akito: You see, to add a final twist to the game…both Misato and I are also going to vote…making it a total of 9 votes.
(Both the jury and the three remaining contestants are in shock…)
Misato: Surprised? We’ve been both watching the game as much as the jury have, and we both also feel that we want a choice in deciding who is the ultimate survivor…
Akito: …so now your cages have been rattled, we now have another reason why we’re together. Because this challenge is going to be in two parts, pre-merge…and merged.
Misato: We have 14 questions, 7 before the merge and 7 after the merge…about what has happened on the island. Hope you knew everyone that went on the island, because you are going to be tested.
Akito: A final test of intelligence…and see if you truly bonded with your fellow survivors. (Holds up three clipboards and a pen.) You will write on these and show me your answers. It’s simple. Whoever gets the most points….wins…
(Akito hands out the clipboards, as they all realise now that the game could go any way now…)
(Shot of the group now very nervous.)
Akito: Let’s see over the past month and a bit how much you’ve learnt about your fellow survivors. What you know may make the difference between a million pounds and nothing. Immediately after the quiz, we go to the final vote. Understood?
(The three solemly nod.)
Akito: Let’s begin.
(The first question is asked by Misato…)
Tenchi: Bulleta and Genki: 1 point
Julia: Bulleta and Jubilee: 0 point
Gohan: Genki and Bulleta: 1 point
Tenchi: Not a clue…(giggling from the jury)
Julia: Quips and Jury…
Gohan: ? and ? (another chuckle)
Misato: Julia was half way, but you need both for the answer. Contend was the second one. Next question…
Julia: Akane-chan and me.
Gohan: Akane and Julia
Tenchi: Julia and Nene.
Julia and Gohan both get one point. Tenchi is wrong, it was Julia and Akane.
Julia: 2 mins 49 seconds
Tenchi: 2 mins 56 seconds
Gohan: 2 mins 54 seconds…
Doh! Correct answer is 2 mins 53 seconds…Nil points!
(Switch to Akito)
Julia: Bulleta, Genki, Jubilee, Davis, Nene, Serena
Tenchi: Same as Julia
Akito: I guess Serena’s vote seems a necessity, but Gohan is the only one right. Next question…
Tenchi says 6 pounds. Julia and Gohan both say 5 pounds. Julia and Gohan are correct.
Akito: So, how does the final score look like? Here we go…
Tenchi: 8.
Julia: 9.
And Gohan…11. He’s done it folks.
(From the jury, there is a good applause from them all, and Misato is also applauding. Gohan is shocked, but happy. Julia and Tenchi smile, but know that for one of them, it’s all over.)
Akito: Well done Gohan, the final immunity is yours…and with that, you also have the power to finish off the job. The Julia and Tenchi vote is irrelivent, so just you to the pedesal.
(Gohan is surprised he has to do it so quickly, as he has no more time to think. He goes up as Tenchi and Julia clutch each others hands. Gohan has a LONG think before looking at both of them, then at the jury…and smiles. He writes his vote down.)
Akito: I’ll guess I’ll go count…the vote.
(Gohan sits down, eyes on the jury, not wanting to see what happens next….)
(Akito takes the urn, and takes out the final vote. Misato also looks, a look of surprise on her face…)
Misato: Wow.
Akito: 3rd place in Survivor, the 14th person to be voted off…and 7th member of the jury…
(He reveals the vote…)
Akito: ‘TENCHI.’
(The Masaki warrior has a slight look of surprise, but smiles. The jury is also a bit shook up. Tenchi gets up and take his torch without either Misato or Akito asking him. He places it by the Eva and Nadesico reps.)
Misato: I’ll take this one. Tenchi, great game, just extinguish it.
(Tenchi does with a smile.)
Akito: The tribe has spoken Tenchi, we’ll see you tomorrow with the final vote.
(Tenchi nods, and goes to his two finalists. He shakes the hand of Gohan who has finally looked up. He goes to Julia and kisses her on the cheek as the two share a sweet hug. They give another kiss, this time on the lips, before Tenchi leaves.)
Tenchi: See ya tomorrow guys…
(Tenchi leaves as Akito and Misato go up to the final two.)
Akito: So…this is it. Tomorrow, you return here Gohan Sonn, and Julia Chang for the final Tribal Council. Only this time, it is to win it.
Misato: 9 of us will decide your fate tomorrow evening, then the final result will be taken in a small down flea-bitten studio in the Midlands area in England.
Akito: But that is where a million pounds will be exchanged, for who, only the jury can decide…but for now, you two are the last two, so collect your torches…
Misato: …and we’ll all see you tomorrow.
(Julia and Gohan take their torches without questions, the jury now decided…and the prize…is in their own destinies.)
(But who will take it?)

Tenchi: I guess in the end, I survived to the bitter last. I’m not disappointed, don’t worry, when Gohan won immunity, it was going to be saddening no mater if it was me or Julia eliminated….but in the end, it doesn’t really matter. At least I get to decide in a small way who wins…and for Julia and Gohan, and to my fellow jurors, it’s good luck from Tenchi Masaki…

(Sakura and Tenchi were both solid members of their former tribes, and got along with everyone from their opposite numbers mostly. When it came down to the final four, it was always going to be a hard job to vote off anyone, but Sakura was cut down thanks to an earlier vote she didn’t remember, and Gohan was Tenchi’s judge, jury and executioner…)

And another chapter comes to an end. One more left, and then planning for two more survivors.
I wonder how many predicted these two as the final at the very beginning…I dunno, but hey, as Kero says, expect the unexpected.
