We’re at 6 (or 5 if you’ve read the main chapter beforehand (YOU SHOULD) detectives left – we’ve just come off a problematic situation when Negi returned, the 6 remaining are now having to focus more on the game, so these HQ moments are becoming fewer and further between, however let’s take a moment to reflect on the past 48 hours…

(Negi is the first up, as he could barely sleep (Triela soon joins him down as shown in the main story) and the sight of a 10 year old Negi in his pyjamas is obvious for the shota audience out there. However, Negi’s eyes are red and ringed, both from lack of sleep and most likely through lack of sleep…)

(With the girls out of the question (for once) and Negi not exactly on brilliant terms with Satoshi or Ban, Negi was forced to endure it (unknowing Triela also has a similar suffering) and his yawning all the way down is showing, as he wipes his eyes…)

Negi: This is where master’s other world would be handy…

(Negi tries not to think about how much he’s missing home as he heads into the kitchen…)

(…meanwhile, the other bad sleeper of last night arises like a vampire in the night, Triela…)

Triela: (half-asleep) Need blood…

(Triela scampers about, she’s not used to wearing clothes which aren’t suits…plus she has been having pains again, and has to rely more on Negi to help her…she is trying her best not to have the drug Hillshire gave her prior to her leaving…)

Triela: Conditioning sucks…

(She then leans outside…)

Triela: Then again…I think a few people could have benefited from it in THIS game…

(Suddenly pains from her stomach echoes as she holds it…)

Triela: D-damn…I don’t know if Negi is u-up or not…

(Triela groans as she can’t even move and is forced to lie down. Meanwhile, her ex-roomate Aya, greets Satoshi as they head downstairs…)

Satoshi: Hard night?

Aya: A little…I mean, I guess I probably had a better sleep than most but…

Satoshi: It’s the game. Everyone is playing the game to their own standards and practices.

Aya: Yes…thanks for making sure of that…

Satoshi: You’re welcome.

(As Aya realises she hasn’t got Ran’s wit for sarcasm yet, they hear some familiar sounds…)

Ban: (opening the door) Damn, stop that screaming…

Satoshi: Sure, just tell Hinata to do so – she’s probably in ‘kick anyone who angers her’ mode…

Ban: I’d prefer the time ‘she’s pissed off at herself’ but hey, intelligence language works – just not used to saying it around Ginji.

(A moment of sternness passes between Aya and Ban, but it fades when they hear the sound of an opening window…)

Ban: That wasn’t…

Satoshi: She…couldn’t…

(Sure enough, Aya heads to her room (she and Hinata’s room is on the west, whilst Ban and Satoshi’s are on the east, so the windows face the same way on Aya’s side) and they see Hinata, already doing kata, after leaping out of the window…a good 15 feet from the ground…)

Ban: How’d she do that?

(Altogether now…)

Satoshi/Aya/Half the reading public: She’s a ninja.

(This leads nicely into a sick Triela gets downstairs after everyone has already got up and Negi greets her. Triela doesn’t get help and instead decides for a different help…theraputic…)

Triela: Hinata?

(The kunoichi stops as she wipes a bit of sweat…)

Hinata: T-Triela…san…I was just waiting for the next investigator…

Triela: And trying to kill yourself at the same time…

(Hinata hides sheepishly…)

Triela: Look…you want to avoid Negi right? I don’t see what the problem is, you two are way too cute to be anything but friends…

(Hinata blushes but she does speak up…)

Hinata: B-but I nearly killed him last night…

Triela: That’s the game my dear….and you made a strong decision. It helped one problem…though a few more popped up…

(Hinata looks down…)

Hinata: Sorry…

(Triela fortunately doesn’t stay upset too long…it’s not like she has problems talking to girls her own age who are trained killers…^_^)

Triela: Aw…it’s not like I mind….I mean, I loved them both being here, but it had to happen in the end. If there are 3 people in the end, one of us 4 between you, me, Negi and Shiine will have gone anyway…

Hinata: …just now…than later…

(Triela ruffles Hinata’s hair…)

Triela: If it wasn’t the fact that I can’t do this, I would kidnap you and introduce you to all the girls back home…you and Rico are just too damn innocent for your own good...

(Innocent? A ninja? I know…oxymoronic, but it is Hinata…)

(…fortunately, before any more embarrassment occurs, a car drives outside…)

Triela: Right…I’ll head on it. Hold the fort for me…

(Triela walks slowly in (pain showing) as Hinata wipes off some sweat and tries not to be too embarrassed…)

(After poor Ken is shown the ropes (insert Kaleido Star shoujo-ai joke here), Negi has to help out Triela’s pain…but elsewhere, Ban is concerned where this leaves him with Satoshi…)

Ban: Are we still a team?

Satoshi: Yes, why?

Ban: Well, can we discuss any plans with the brat with us?

Satoshi: No. And did we have any plans after all?

(Damn – milking Satoshi for all his worth doesn’t always work Ban-chan…)

Ban: Well…

Satoshi: Simple, we avoid elimination and hope that Triela votes for someone else. And considering she doesn’t like Aya, that might be our best bet.

(Ban smiles…)

Ban: You’re good.

Satoshi: I know.

(Satoshi leaves, as Ban has a smile on his face…)

Ban: This move may be risky but…

(Ban will start to play the game his way but elsewhere, Triela and Negi have a private moment together…

(…yes, how wrong that comment can be taken – sick minds…)

Triela: That’s better…

(Negi-sensei steps back as the healing spell takes it’s effect…)

Negi: Anyway…you need to stay so I’ll…

Triela: Wait…

(Negi stops…)

Triela: Talk to Hinata. She’s really hurting about this – she’s trying to hide it…and failing miserably. She made her decision the only way she knew…

Negi: I know that…

(Triela pauses…)

Negi: I will…when I’m ready.

(Negi leaves as Triela looks ready to throw the pills away…but she smiles gently as she sees Negi catch up to Ban and Satoshi…)

Triela: You two are the next best thing ever happened to me since Henrietta, Rico and Claes entered my life. Don’t you dare ruin it for me now…

(Aya and Hinata have had a talking relationship, but it’s the first real time the two get to be close…)

Aya: If Ran was here, she’d be all for it. ‘Beat those guys brains in chickenheads!’

(Hinata has to smile at that…)

Aya: Use that as a motif and we’ll be cruising…

Hinata: Right…

(Aya seems designating ‘cheer up’ person for Hinata as Triela is for Negi. However, let’s see if their detective skills match their cheerleader skills…)

(During their inquiry, we can see Ban, Satoshi and Negi working quite well together during their initial talk with Seta, and as they do a little wrapping up, we can see Ban making some notes and doodles in the back of his little notepad…)

Negi: What are you doing Ban-san?

(Ban quickly hides it away…)

Ban: Ah-ha, not for kid’s eyes I’m afraid…

(No, it’s not pornographic doodles (and besides, at Negi’s age, he’s already seen worse) but rather some notes regarding his strategy – needless to say, he doesn’t want it found by anyone…)

Ban: Though it’s refreshing for someone to give the –san suffix. Are you always this polite?

Negi: I guess…it’s just something that has always come naturally to me…back when I lived in Wales…

Ban: Wales?! That explains your good English…but your Japanese is brilliant too…

Negi: I kinda have a thing for languages – I mastered Japanese in a few weeks…

(This SURPRISES Ban – Ban is a near fighting genius and has a good brain working, but Negi…well…)

Ban: Geez…kids today are too dangerous…*Ban grins evilly*…guess I’ll have to…

Negi: Huh…what…

(An echoing scream…as Satoshi returns…)

Satoshi: Huh…

(Shot of Ban giving Negi, the dreaded noogie of death…)

Ban: Give me that knowledge ya little brat!!!!

Negi: (laughing) B-Ban-san…

(See, Ban can not be a total bad guy…Satoshi looks on for a moment before walking on…)

Satoshi: Hey, we’re all done here, shall we head back?

Ban: Yeah, yeah…

(Negi rubs his head slightly but smiles as the van men begin to make their move…)

(Meanwhile, Aya is trying to use a little strategy to get Hinata on her side…)

Aya: …it just feels I’ve been alone for a while, ever since Mizuki left…

(Whilst most of the group would have probably forgotten who Mizuki is (first one out-itis, see Ayeka/Sasami of AR1 and whilst not first, Nakahito/Kamahito of AR3…), Hinata nods…)

Hinata: Being alone…it’s the worst thing…

Aya: (smiles) Never thought you’d understand that Hinata-chan…

Hinata: Trust me…when you are an heir to a family like my father’s…you know when you’re alone…especially when you don’t meet their expectations…

(A moment silence…as Aya is a little surprised, but Hinata’s isn’t the only one who has had a problem with her parents…)

Aya: I see. I guess I can feel the same way, considering the only thing my parents care about is making sure I pass well and continue cram school…even when I hate studying so much…

Hinata: Aya-san?

(The emotion seems to be hitting Hinata, and Aya certainly isn’t faking it…she is genuinely upset at how her parents control her life….)

Aya: I guess…with Triela and I not exactly seeing eye to eye now, there is no-one I can talk to well – Negi-kun maybe, but he’s been a little down since the last few days…

(Hinata frowns, not like she needs reminding…)

Aya: …and considering you’re the only other girl here – Satoshi and I kind of clash, and Ban…well…

(The problems Aya and Ban have had are well documented…)

Hinata: (smiles) We’re teammates Aya-san, and I’ll certainly be with you every step of the way. If you need help, just ask…

(It seems Hinata is willing…that, or she’s trying to forget the problems she’s had in the last couple of days…)

Aya: Thanks…

(Things are made a little easier…or difficult, when the boys have to travel over to face the issue with Tamahome and Miaka, as Aya, Triela and Hinata remain at HQ. This makes it almost a tug of war for the ninja, but more indirectly, as Triela, as Team Leader, makes the most interesting dynamic, as it becomes a rather quiet HQ…)

Triela: Are you O.K?

Hinata: It’s…just feels a bit uncomfortable…

Triela: I would train with you, but I don’t think that in this position I should…

Hinata: It’s O.K…

(Triela puts her arm around her new Henrietta as Aya looks on from the stairs…Hinata senses her and gently puts her arm away…)

Hinata: Triela-san, if you want to talk later, we can have a look through everything and see what you can do later…

Triela: I know…I’ve got the job you had yesterday, and hopefully…I won’t have to suffer what happened in the vote like you did…

(Hinata bows her head, in a moment she’d rather forget…)

Hinata: Please…don’t remind me…

(Triela looks a little concerned…)

Triela: Sorry…

Hinata: N-no, it’s O.K…I just think…I need a little time…

(Hinata escapes, as Triela looks concerned…)

Triela: Everyone is thinking about the game aren’t they?

(Indeed…)

Aya: …I’m surprised that you agreed…

(Hinata shakes her head…)

Hinata: I believe in a fair shot…even if it is an outmatched one…

(Remembrance of Hinata vs. Neji comes to mind but Aya smiles…)

Aya: Thank you.

(Hinata and Aya begin looking at help and strategy, as three young gentlemen are away from the roost so the femme fatales can plot away…)

(As Aya leaves the room, she immediately senses something, and realises a hawked eyed Gunslinger Girl has been glaring daggers at her…)

Triela: What…

Aya: Is there something wrong with talking to her?

(Triela steps off a stair back to Aya…)

Triela: Of course not. And considering the game, I should be commending you…but…don’t do anything to make her regret this game anymore.

(Aya, rarely angry, seems a little upset at this, and immediately retaliates…using one of Triela’s own tricks…)

Aya: I’m not like that! And considering you were plotting against me since Day 1, I don’t see why you’ve got any right in speaking!!!

(Triela knew that was coming…and surprisingly accepts it.)

Triela: Fine, I deserved that one. Any more comments? Because I’m letting you throw them at me…

(Aya stops there…that wasn’t quite the remark she expected…)

Triela: I nearly eliminated you a few times – I voted for you. O.k, fine, and I can accept any backlash. This game has destroyed a lot of brain cells…a few more won’t hurt…

(Aya…can’t say anything. She puts her arms down…)

Aya: I’m…I’m not like that. I’m not going to plot like pretty much anyone else…I’ve made it this far by being myself…and I intend for it to keep it that way…

(Triela smiles slightly…)

Aya: …but…any insinuation that I go out to screw people’s lives or even attempt to it…I object to.

(Triela is surprised by the tone of Aya-chan’s voice…and her near tearful eyes seem to suggest she has been more hurt from the game than once was previously thought of…)

Triela: Aya…

Aya: Keep that in mind…

(Aya goes over to her room, as Triela looks on, and wondering whose words were truer, her’s…or Ayas…)

Negi: …I would say one girl is enough, but that would seem kinda ironic…

(Negi recounts his meeting with Miaka, and how it led to Tamahome’s clearance. As he does, his yawning is clear as a bell…)

Satoshi: On a matter of obviousness, are you tired Negi Springfield?

Negi: No…I’m just…*yawns*

Aya: You’ve been doing this for quite a while, I’m surprised you haven’t collapsed…

(One thing that has never really been commented is the fact that these guys have been doing a lot of work, outside and inside. And it is VERY tiring. And after two weeks, and two consecutive killers game, Negi’s nerves and body are finally catching up to him.)

Satoshi: We have a lot of young people, myself included, and it affects everyone – but Negi is the youngest…

(Negi’s actually got high stamina thanks to Eva-chan’s training, but it looks like he’s at his limit. Despite the smell of a late lunch courtesy of Triela (and a handbook given to her by the agency), it’s not enough to get Negi up and about…)

(…we see a nervous Hinata unsure whether to talk to her former compadre, as Ban looks over at the kids, then at Triela making an Italian sauce…and makes a note in his book.)

(Time for Ban to play the game.)

(Early morning, and needless to say, Triela is quite pissed off after Ban’s little show…)

Triela: He’s so gone tonight…

(Triela has been thinking about the vote more than people expect, and considering Ban’s little show, surely he would be first…)

(…or would he? The quarter-German master of the mind games…)

Triela: Wait…considering what he did…and he doesn’t really have any friends…he’s screwed anyway.

(Triela taps her official pen to her chin…her dark skin in a thoughtful way giving her almost as exotic pose…)

Triela: Should I leave personal feelings out the window? That’s what they want us to be like at the agency…

(Triela marks ‘Negi’ and ‘Hinata’ down…)

Triela: But…they’ve suffered enough. I just want them to get back together…

(Lastly, Aya and Satoshi…)

Triela: Aya would be the logical choice considering everything…but…Satoshi…he’s so dangerous…

(As Ban’s mind games work on the intelligent young lady…)

(…downstairs, she missed a bit more of Ban’s game plan, considering the breakfast Ban has got…O.K, so he’s not playing the game, he’s playing for his stomach…)

Ban: Are you sure Hinata-sama?

(Note the –sama suffix. Ladies and gentlemen, master of the suck up, Ban Mido.)

Hinata: You helped me after I collapsed right?

(Negi, just entering the room, seems a little jealous, but considering Hinata has acquired a new skill with her Byakugan…the olde English Breakfast…^_^…preferably not my version…burnt.)

Ban: Thanks! Time to eat!

Satoshi: Not exactly shameless are we?

Ban: (mouthful of rice and eggs) What?

Satoshi: Never mind…

(Shot of Aya and Hinata back in the room, seemingly exhausted, despite being early morning…)

Aya: All nighter?

Hinata: (nods) I was exercising until Ban-san helped me, and then I was into studying…

Aya: You’re nearly as bad as me when it comes to studying…almost, but not quite…

(Hinata laughs slightly as the team get their strategy ready…Triela keeps a small watch on them, but after last night’s altercation with Aya leaves well enough alone…)

(Hinata yawns, shame her Byakugan can’t hide her tiredness, as Negi (cleaning up back in the kitchen) watches over them with concern…)

Negi: Hinata-san…

(He sees Satoshi coming out from downstairs, as they await Ken’s entrance. Ban watches them with interest…)

Ban: N…

(Suddenly, he stops. He shakes his head.)

Ban: No, I’ll wait.

(What Ban is on about you’ll have to fast forward a few pages to the end of the chapter, as back in the current time…)

(…Triela enjoys a pastime that seems to be a personal favourite of pre-Tamahome Mia…teasing Ken. :P)

Triela: That guy Ken is a handsome young man…but he seems to have some sort of nervousness holding him…

Negi: You think so Triela-san?

Triela: I know so. I think it’s not just the fact that his boss has been killed and has a psychotic disguise expert in charge…

Negi: (sweatdrops) Touche.

Triela: I think he’s got his own built up feelings that he’s got inside of him, built up ready to explode…but he can’t take that step to say them, and it’s going to eventually come out in one burst…

Negi: You…could tell that by just looking him?

(Triela looks at Negi…and then does a current topic which Triela has had since Day 1 of the Murder Game…teasing Negi. :P)

Triela: Oh, sure…of course, it’s hard to tell with you…considering the amount of feelings you have for several young ladies…

(Negi’s eyes widen and he does the stuttering panic that only Negi seems capable of…in other words, be horrendously nervous and still adorable no matter what he does…)

Triela: Let’s see…where’s that photo?

Negi: TRIELA-SAN!!!

(Negi scampers away as Triela stalks him like the cat and the mouse…)

Triela: (Cape Fear-ish) Come out, come out, wherever you are!!! And hurry before that killjoy Satoshi finds you…

Satoshi: The killjoy has found him.

(Shot of Negi a bit embarrassed as Satoshi has caught him…not by choice…)

Triela: (bows) Sorry Satoshi-sama.

(It’s not like you expect a serious comment from Triela now, so Satoshi lets it slide…as he will join Ban outside ready for a new game…)

(…but Triela smiles.)

Triela: You could probably add a 32^nd girl there…

(Triela walks off, and very quietly adds…)

Triela: …and a 33^rd…

(Triela steps into her TL chair, awaiting anything that could happen…as that little bit of info is pretty surprising…but let’s see what happens…)

(…especially when the one person who she is particular upset at…is also beginning to warm up to Negi-kun…)

(…shot of Ban with Negi inside the game’s rooms (fortunately, Ban not doing a Shin this time and wreck anything) and Ban is cursing how damn good Negi is at…well…pretty much everything…^_^)

Ban: Geez kid, where did you get to be so smart? Not that I need it, but that partner of mine back home could use some help…

Negi: (chuckles) A gift I could sigh…I just wish one of my partners would also be a bit more focused…

(Ban curses the luck of the Welsh, one of said partners (one of 6 now!!!) would most likely be referring to Asuna, but Ban has his own story to tell…)

Ban: …gah, wish all my friends were beautiful young girls. Unfortunately, not quite the luck of the Welsh for me…more like the dark magic of the German…

Negi: German?

Ban: Yeah, quarter-German, and what luck, my grandmother was a witch. She was the one…

(Ban raises his eyes (Triela dealt with a pair of sunglasses earlier in the episode) as he speaks…)

Ban: …who gave me this Jagan ability. Both a blessing…and a curse.

Negi: A curse?

Ban: Yeah…my dream ability? Can only use it three times in a 24 hr period. My snakebite? If I inflict the curses full power…I can pretty much take anything part…

(Ban holds his chest)

Ban: But the cost could be high if I’m not careful…

(Negi gulps…)

Negi: I see…

(Ban avoids a rushing attack from Negi’s character in GGXX Millia Rage as, probably surprising himself, he’s talking about his past, to of all people, Negi, the youngest person in the game…(though he’s had just a hard past as Ban as well))

Ban: Anyway, I was a petty thief, using my powers…not for the side of good so to speak, but at times, it was a family, with myself, Himeko…and Yamato.

(Ban pauses the game, and seemingly getting into this speech, shows Negi a picture of the three – a picture of Ban a lot younger looking…)

Negi: That’s you Ban-san?

Ban: *chuckles* Yeah…handsome devil aren’t I? But…well…

(Ban sighs…)

Ban: No…I can’t say this. Himeko might be watching this and I don’t want to say anything…yet.

Negi: Or is it something, you can’t say in television?

Ban: Probably…but not risking it. (sighs) That’s when I bumped into Ginji Amano, the biggest powerhouse of Infinity Fortress. Also known as the Lightning Lord.

Negi: Powerhouse? But when you’ve showed me…

Ban: Yeah…biggest dork around huh? Well, back in the day, he wasn’t the goofball we know. He was…well…the Lightning Lord. Damn near unbeatable, especially if he went full power.

(Ban holds his arm…)

Ban: To this day, I still wonder how I beat him…

Negi: You beat him?

Ban: Yeah…if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have been alive today.

(Negi (rightfully) gulps in nervousness…)

Ban: It’s weird really…how a friendship starts at times…we have a life and death battle, and…according to a certain monkey-boy, ever since that fight, he couldn’t see straight…

(Yeah, a story straight out of a yaoi manga as Ginji couldn’t get Ban out of his head…)

Negi: And since then…

(Ban smiles and gives Negi the thumbs up…)

Ban: We’ve been the Getbackers – we get anything back and have a near 100% rate. Nice to meet you.

(Ban recites his usual intro…)

Negi: …and you want to get your biggest paycheck ever?

(Ban is surprised at Negi’s voice, but to Ban’s credit, at least he answers honestly…)

Ban: Yeah – I won’t deny and say I’m not here for the money, because I am. But if anyone says they aren’t here in some small way for the money, they are lying…

(Negi knows that Ban is right, even if he won’t admit it as well…)

Ban: So, on that note…

Negi: (smiles) So…friendships start by beating people right Ban-san?

(Ban goes all solemn as his defeat to Negi is confirmed…)

Ban: I just hope this isn’t a sign of things to come…

(After Negi and Hinata making up (main story) and Hinata’s victory in the killer’s game…they examine the killer’s clue…)

Hinata: How…

Negi: English letters. Hold on…

(Negi begins to write the English lettering in hiragana. For everyone keeping track and trying to work out the more recent cryptic killer clues (anyone got who the four girls and why they are linked with the killer yet?) here’s the next one…)

(In English, the clue is written like this…)

Aya: (Making a note) This could be crucial…if we can find out what the letters mean, we’ll have our killer!

Negi: Should we get excited though? We don’t know how relevant it is – it could be a red herring…

Ban: I doubt it. It’s close to the end of the game, and I think the killer wants to be found now.

(As they are talking about it, Triela watches like a hawk as her Team Leader days come to an end…but not without one more motion…)

Ban: Ah…that was a good day.

Triela: Was it?

(Ban is surprised that Triela snuck behind him. Her finger may not be loaded, but every part of her body is very dangerous. Ban is no slouch, and his speed could probably beat Triela, but without the Snakebite, Triela is stronger…)

Ban: What now?

Triela: You don’t seem outwardly upset that Satoshi went tonight, am I correct?

Ban: Of course not. He’s a competitor, and one of the strongest. Thanks for helping eliminate him.

Triela: Gah…I knew he’s a threat, but you’re so screwed Ban…

Ban: (smirks) Sorry, I’m not interested in minors…

(Suddenly, Ban moves in a sleek movement which for most people it would be impossible to judge. Unfortunately…Triela is one of those people.)

(Ban slips behind her, ready to catch her off guard, but is stunned when Triela ducks, spins and thrusts her hand towards his throat. Ban cannot react…)

(…but Triela stops.)

Triela: Don’t piss me off Ban. If I do this, I’m out of the game and my agency will be disgraced.

(Triela relaxes…)

Triela: I won’t hurt you Ban. And this game is yours for the taking…or the destruction…

(Triela turns slightly, her slant eyes looking evil…)

Triela: However…don’t mess with us Ban. Otherwise, no matter how this game ends, I will make sure you get what you truly deserve…

(Triela heads upstairs, as Ban stares after the GSG for a moment, before sighing…)

Ban: Ha, she thinks she can scare or even defeat the Great Ban-sama? Ha, I wasn’t worried…

(Note the slight stain on his pants…^_^…yeah right Ban-sama…)

(Lastly, it seems like Aya is pushing further into trying to win…either that, or she’s scared sleeping alone…she always seems to like the pajama parties she has with Miyu and Ran…)

Aya: Thanks Hinata-san…you seem a lot better despite that game…

Hinata: Mmm! It wasn’t so bad the second time – I think the main thing was just that I had to get through it…

Aya: So now…5 left. And who would Satoshi pick for the next team leader?

(Good question…and one you guys should really pick because that’s always a bonus point…)

So we’ve got a little bloodlust in the detectives – especially Triela. Negi’s magic must be having a nasty little side effect…

I really love the pasts of a lot of these characters. Almost everyone here has a mysterious past or a tragic past or history (Ban is my favourites, but Negi in his homeland, Satoshi’s blood to the Hikari’s, Hinata heir to the Hyuugas, Aya’s story of almost forced study forcing her to do subsi-dating to earn money…all different background but always interesting. So some brief notes…

The master Negi mentions is the awesome vampire school girl Eva-chan or Evangeline McDowell. I’ve been enjoying quite a few female vampire characters recently with Eva of course, but also Hazuki (Tsukoyomi) and Karin/Anju (Karin or Chibi Vampire in the Tokyopop manga translation).

Ban doing a Shin is another Eyeshield 21 reference – last HQ/ep Ban destroyed some exercise equipment and we have to get the cheque books to replace them. The joke is that Shin (the ace of the Ojou White Knights and Sena’s biggest rival) is absolutely hopeless with anything with technological and wrecks it within a minute of receiving it, whether it would be a camera, a GPS or in an ad for the E21 game, a Nintendo DS.

Another Ban query – when he’s speaking abut Himeko, there is a huge spoiler which even I’m not 100% sure about, involving Himeko’s blood and the relationship between herself and Ban. With the Getbackers manga still ongoing in Japan (35 volumes so far!!!) I’m keeping a good idea on future developments – this and Eyeshield 21 have been dominating my future manga reading for quite a while now…damn you Adam Pulver!!!
