Oak: (VO) TK and Davis argue over their affections for a friend of theirs... Davis: Why don’t we just e-mail her and ask her ourselves? TK: Why? It’s not like she’ll read anything from you! Oak: (VO) Their debate carries over into the first prize challenge... Davis: (atop the platform) Man! Dang that TS! He blew our chance! TK: (whispering back) I don’t know. Davis has had my eye on me since last night. Izzy: There’s nothing to worry about. He won’t come anywhere close to you. Once again in the maze, the cameraman chases Davis as he dives on TK, sending them both to the ground. TK: Why’d you have to go and tackle me? That was unnecessary! Davis: I didn’t want you to get away, so I dived and by chance ended up on you! Is there a problem with that? TK: Yes! The problem is you! Kari doesn’t like you and she never will like you! Davis: How dare you say that! You’re mine. Ash comes in at the last second and stops Davis from tackling TK again. Ash: It’s only a game! Stop taking it so seriously! Davis: Easy for you to say! You don’t have a guy who’s trying to steal your girlfriend! TK: Kari was never yours to begin with in the first place! Davis breaks free of Ash’s grip and throws a punch at TK, which he dodges. Outside the maze, Tori and Tenchi lead the way in through the exit, attempting to stop the fight before someone gets hurt. * * * * * * * * * * Sixteen young guys Four different anime shows Forty-two days living alone in a mansion One lucky soul walks away with up to one million dollars in cash (Begin theme song, showing each of the contestants, two at a time via split screen) Ash, the Pokémon Master wannabe Brock, future Pokémon breeder from Pewter City Cody, the silent kendo expert Davis, Digidestined leader for Season 2 Gary, grandson of the great Professor Oak Izzy, keeper of the Pineapple computer Joe, pre-med doctor in training Ken, the ex-Digimon Emperor Li, descendant of Clow Reed Matt, lead singer of a local band in Odaiba Richie, Ash’s 5th round opponent in the Pokémon League Tai, carrier of the Crest of Courage Tenchi, heir apparent to the throne of Planet Jurai TK, who has something against the powers of darkness Tori, Sakura’s older brother Tracey, Pokémon watcher from the Orange Islands Some of these guys will become the best of friends Others will develop grudges against those they hate But only one will walk out with up to a million dollars in cash and prizes These boys are... roomies! Back inside, Ash holds back Davis while TK attempts to restrain himself so that he doesn’t punch Davis’ lights out. Davis: Let me at him! Let me at him! TK: You want a piece of me? You want a piece of me? Ash: Will you two stop repeating yourselves? I heard you the first time! Davis: Let me go! TK: You’re asking for it Davis! Suddenly, Tenchi and Tori come running on to the scene... Tenchi: (jumping in between TK and Davis) Hey! Break it up you two! Tori: That’s enough of this nonsense! Tenchi pulls on TK’s arm and leads him towards the exit. Ash continues to hold onto Davis as Tori begins talking some sense into him. Back outside the maze, Izzy has made his way down from the surveillance platform. He meets Tenchi, TK, and the others by the exit. Izzy: What happened in there? TK: Davis tackled me! There was no need for that! Tenchi: Tori will straighten him out. Don’t worry. Izzy: This would’ve all been prevented if you had stopped this last night Tai. Tai: How did you find out about that? Tracey: Tori was talking about it at breakfast this morning. Li: Some big brother you are. A minute later, Ash and Tori pull Davis out of the maze. Ash: Okay, I’m going to let go of you. You’d better promise not to go right after TK, ok? Davis: I promise! Just let go! You’re hurting my arm! Tori: Let him go. He’s had enough. Besides, he won’t dare try anything while we’re all here. After everyone calms down, the entire group is gathered around Professor Oak at the maze entrance. Oak: Well, now that that’s over, let’s congratulate our winners! Only those four individuals will be put in that drawing for the CD player and the two free CDs. Smiles are visible on the faces of Tracey, Li, Tori, and Tai. Everyone else dejectedly gets into the two vans to head back to the mansion. Davis and TK glare at each other once before getting in to their respective vans. Night Five That night, Brock, Cody, Ken, and Izzy are gathered in the living room. They are talking about what to do about TK and Davis. Brock: Why are those two so hard headed? Cody: And to think that their argument is all over one girl! Ken: I can only imagine what Kari feels like. Izzy: Probably like you... except she only has two guys after her, compared to how many girls used to worship you. Cody: I wish there were some way to find a solution to their problem. Brock: Maybe I could teach them a few tips about picking up girls. Then they’ll fairly fight for Kari’s love without worrying about having to knock each other out. Izzy: That’s no good. Have you ever thought that might bring about an opposite effect? Ken: Yeah. That might just be a catalyst to a humongous fight that’ll get them both kicked out. Cody: How about telling Kari about it all ourselves? She’ll straighten the two of them out. Izzy: Yeah, but she might also break one of their hearts in the process. Possibly both. Brock: Then what do we do? Izzy: (sighs) I just don’t know. This entire debacle is just stumping me right now. Brock: (CC) The best solution would be to separate the two until they’re willing to apologize to each other. Davis: (CC) I’m not apologizing until TE agrees to let me have Kari. TK: (CC) How many times do we have to go through this? You’re not getting Kari! Oak: (VO) When we return... Davis: (holding up his Digivice to one of the computer screens) Digi-port open! Oak: (VO) The Roomies are off to the Digiworld for their second physical challenge! Ash: This is the Digiworld? Tracey: Amazing! Oak: (VO) Ahem... you’re not sightseeing, you’re competing in a physical challenge! Tenchi: (running off the side of a cliff) Here goes nothing! Oak: (VO) And a little later on... Tai: I know of one way, but it isn’t going to be pretty. Izzy: You don’t mean? Matt: There’s gotta be another way! Oak: (VO) When Roomies returns... * * * * * * * * * Day Six Tenchi goes out to check the mail. He sees the flag on the mailbox up. Unfortunately, it happened to be raining heavily that day, so he had to hustle out to the mailbox and back so that he could remain as dry as possible. He finds another manila envelope inside the mailbox. He runs back inside the mansion to dry off. Izzy greets him at the door. Izzy: Is that information on the next challenge? Tenchi: I think so. Tenchi opens it. In addition to a videotape, two other strange objects are inside the envelope. Tenchi: What are those? Izzy: Those are D-3s! Davis and TK’s D-3s, to be exact! A few minutes later, everyone is gathered in the downstairs recreation room. The tape is already in the VCR and is in the process of playing. Oak: It’s such a dreary day outside. So why don’t we go to the Digiworld, where it’s always bright and sunny! It’s not a relaxation trip, though. It’s time for another physical challenge! Davis and TK, open the gates! You will lead the others into this dazzling new world! With that, the tape turns off. Izzy: I thought so. Guys, we’re heading back to the Digital World! Tai: Alright! Matt: Awesome! Ash: What exactly is this Digiworld anyway? Tenchi takes out the instructions for the physical challenge and reads them out aloud. Tenchi: In the second physical challenge, you will be journeying to the Digiworld. Here, you will be competing in a five-part obstacle course. The reward, the same as before, is the addition of one hundred grand to the personal jackpots of everyone on the winning team. The team captains of this challenge are Davis for the orange team and TK for the green team. Choose teams, then make your way to the Digiworld by 3 o’clock. [The team assignments (picked in random order): Orange - Davis, Tai, Joe, Tracey, Ash, Izzy, Li, and Ken Green - TK, Matt, Tori, Gary, Richie, Cody, Brock, and Tenchi] After the teams are chosen, they make their way to the downstairs recreation room, where they will enter the Digiworld. TK: Everybody ready? Gary: What do you mean ready? What’s going on? Davis pulls out his D-3. TK does the same. All of the non-Digidestined look on in amazement. Tracey: I thought we were going to the Digiworld? Why are we here by the computers? Brock: (figuring it out) You don’t mean that... Izzy: Yep Brock, you’ve got it! Davis, if you’ll do the honors. Davis: (holding up his Digivice to one of the computer screens) Digi-port open! The computer screen lights up. All of a sudden, the sixteen boys are sucked into the computer. Just scant seconds later, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere. In fact, there were in a grass clearing somewhere on File Island in the Digiworld. Ash: This is the Digiworld? Tracey: Amazing! Cody: (CC) I can’t believe the looks on their faces! That’s just how I reacted when I first went to the Digiworld! Oak: I’m glad that you’re enjoying the scenery boys, but it’s time for a physical challenge! The sixteen boys make their way to the starting line, as Professor Oak describes the course to them. Oak: Today, you will be running a team obstacle course. It is split into five parts. The first part is an accuracy competition. One team member will throw small balls at several targets. He will be attempting to hit targets from three different distances: 5 feet, 15 feet, and 30 feet. The camera pans around a small area where the targets are set up. The colored balls are all gathered in two small baskets by the starting line. Oak: The second part of the course is a rope course. Two members from each team must complete it. They will start by climbing up a 25-foot high wall. From there, they will pull themselves across a mud pit that spans twelve feet. After that, you will repel down another 25-foot wall. To finish up, both members must swing from one rope to the next across a large mud hole before tagging off for the next leg. The camera gives the viewers a brief look at the rope course, as described by Professor Oak. Oak: One member will take on the third leg. That person will jump off a 40-foot cliff into the lake below. From there, they will swim 400 meters to shore, where the next group of team members will be waiting. This time around, we see the rocky cliff and the beautiful lake below. Oak: In the fourth leg, three team members will get into a kayak and work their way down the river rapids. Two of them will row, while the third will tell them which way to steer. At the end of the course, they have to pull the kayak onto the shore, where the final leg begins. The camera flies over the river rapids, which do include jagged rocks and a few sudden drops. Oak: The final leg is an all-out sprint. One team member will run 400 meters, all the way to the finish line. The first team to finish wins the challenge! The final overview is of the flat grasslands that the final team member will be running over. Oak: I’ll give you a minute to figure out who will do which part. Then we’ll get you all set up, and we’ll get started. The obstacle course assignments are as follows... Segment 1 - Izzy / Cody Segment 2 - Li and Ken / Gary and Matt Segment 3 - Tai / Tenchi Segment 4 - Tracey, Davis, and Joe / TK, Brock, and Richie Segment 5 - Ash / Tori Izzy and Cody line up at the starting line. Both have a ball in hand, ready to throw once Professor Oak gives them the signal. The others are all in their positions, getting ready for their leg of the course. Tai: (VO) Personally, I’m a little scared about diving off a cliff. But hey, it can’t be that bad. Right? Joe: (CC) Tracey and Davis better listen to me in the kayak. That’s the only way we’re going to win. Tori: (CC) I think the other team made a mistake in pairing Ash with me. They won’t stand a chance if my team is ahead. Matt: (VO) I’m ready to make up for my laziness in the first challenge, and I’m going to prove it. Back at the starting line, the challenge is about to begin. Oak: Ready? Set! Go! Izzy and Cody throw a ball at the closest target. They both hit it on the first try. They then try to hit the next target, but find that this one is not as easy to get. Cody: Come on already! After three tries, Izzy hits the second target and starts aiming for the third one. His first few shots fall short. Izzy: I’ve got to find a way to throw it farther than this. Meanwhile, it had taken Cody seven attempts before a ball of his connected with the second target. He now goes to work on the final target. By this time though, Izzy had improved his aim, as his throws came closer and closer to the target. Over by the river rapids, TK and Davis are staring each other down once again. Li: (CC) It doesn’t matter whose team you’re on here. Those two will probably turn this into another one of their “winner gets Kari” fights. Davis: I’ll show you who’s the best. TK: Yeah right. Every time you say that, you always mess up! Davis: Oh yeah? Why don’t we have a race? Whoever gets to the bottom first wins! TK: You’re on. Richie: Oh brother. Li: (CC) See what I mean. Tracey: Will they ever give up? Richie: Not as long as this Kari girl is single. Back at the target range, Izzy finally hits the third target. He runs over to the start of the rope course, where Li and Ken are waiting for him. Li reaches the rope climb first. Ken waits at the bottom as Li makes his way up. At that moment, Cody’s ball connects with the last target. He runs over and tags Gary and Matt. Just as Gary begins his climb, Ken starts his as well. Li: (on top of the wall) Ken, hurry up! Matt: (at the bottom) Gary! Move it or lose it! Gary is a faster climber than Ken, so he reaches the top first. Matt is about seven feet up from the ground when Ken finally reaches the top after a little bit of a struggle. Ken and Li move on to the ropewalk. Li quickly yet carefully makes his way across without any trouble. Ken tries to do the same thing, but he almost slips off. He hangs onto the rope precariously in a kneeling position. Li: Ken! If you can’t walk across, just crawl! There’s no shame in that! Ken: I’m coming! Gary pulls Matt up the wall as he reaches the top. The duo runs to the ropewalk in an attempt to catch up. Gary decides to go first while Matt gets a short break. Unfortunately Gary also struggles to get across. He too eventually has to resort to crawling the remainder of the way across. Upon reaching the platform on the opposite side of the pit, Ken reaches out to Li. Li pulls him the final few inches across. The two then move on to the next part. Li checks that the rope is secure. He then quickly repels down the wall to the ground. Ken follows him with ease, and suddenly they have a big lead. Oak: (VO) The orange team jumps out to an even bigger lead on the rope course, as the green team continues to struggle. Matt: Keep going, Gary! I’ll be right behind you! Matt begins moving across the ropewalk, even though Gary’s only about halfway across. Ahead of them, Li and Ken are already swinging themselves over the mud hole. Neither of them seems to be having much trouble. Back behind, Gary makes it to the other end, with Matt right behind them. As they begin to repel their way down the wall, they see that Li and Ken are already tagging off to Tai, near the edge of the cliff. Oak: (VO) As the second tag is applied, Tai takes off, running towards the edge of the cliff. It’s roughly forty-five feet from the tag point to the edge, and then the forty-foot drop into the lake below. Tai: (as he jumps off) Here I gooooooooooooo! Tai holds his breath as his body freefalls all the way into the lake. After a few seconds, he comes back up above water. He then begins his long swim towards shore. Back with the green team, Gary and Matt have reached the ground once again. They make their way over to the mud hole, where they attempt to swing across it. Tenchi cheers them on from the tag point. Tenchi: Come on guys! We’re behind! Finally the duo makes it across. Gary applies the tag to Tenchi. He takes off towards the cliff. Without even looking to see how far Tai is ahead of him, Tenchi jumps down towards the water. Tenchi: (running off the side of a cliff) Here goes nothing! Tenchi tucks into a cannonball as he falls straight into the lake with a big splash. Upon returning to the surface, Tenchi spots Tai quite a distance ahead. Oak: (VO) Upon beginning his swim, Tenchi is about thirty-eight seconds behind Tai. Over on the shore, the respective teams cheer their swimmers on. Joe: Let’s go Tai! Tracey: You can do it! Davis: We’ve got this one in the bag! TK: Tenchi! Let’s go! Brock: You’re in the groove, man! Richie: You can catch ‘em! Sure enough, Tenchi had closed in by about seven seconds by the time he reached the 100-meter mark. Tai was attempting to pick up his speed, but he was getting tired. Tenchi was slowly closing the gap. TK: Go Tenchi! Joe: Don’t give up Tai! Oak: (VO) At the halfway point of the swim, the difference between Tenchi and Tai had diminished to twenty-one seconds. At this rate, Tenchi would be right on Tai’s heels just as he made it to shore. Tenchi continues to swim towards the shore. He’s showing no signs of slowing down. Tai, on the other hand, is struggling to even stay afloat. At this point, he’s not even swimming any more. He’s wading. Tracey: Tai looks like he’s stopping! Davis: Tai! Don’t give up! You gotta keep going! At 300 meters, Tai continues to struggle. Tenchi is now in striking distance... he’s only ten seconds behind. Joe: At this rate, Tenchi will be ahead of Tai by the time they get to shore! Davis: Tai! You’ve got to swim the last hundred meters out! Brock: Tenchi’s catching him! TK: Go Tai! Tai starts to pick up the pace. He takes one look behind him and sees that Tenchi is a lot closer than he was at the start of his swim. Tai: (CC) When I looked back and saw how close Tenchi was, I decided that I had relaxed long enough. I had to put all of my energy into the last part of it. Although Tai begins to pull away once again, Tenchi doesn’t pick up the pace. In fact, he is beginning to tire out himself. Davis: Yeah Tai! You got him on the ropes! Just over a minute later, Tai gets close enough to shore for him to run in. He runs towards the pier, where Tracey, Davis, and Joe are standing right by their kayak. TK, Brock, and Richie are also in position, as Tenchi swims not too far behind. Scant seconds after Tai had reached shore, Tenchi made his way into shallow waters. He began to run towards his team. Tai would reach his first. Tracey and Davis take the oars and begin paddling, with Joe commanding while simultaneously glancing downstream towards the rapids. Joe: Stroke! Stroke! Stroke! Davis: I’m stroking! I’m stroking! Tracey: Come on! The other team’s right behind us! Davis: There’s no way I’m letting TK beat me! Joe: We’re picking up speed guys! I think we’ll make it to the bottom first! Back at the pier, Tenchi tags off to his team. TK, Brock, and Richie all rush into the boat, and in the process makes it tip over, sending all three of them into the water. Davis: (yelling back at the other team) See you later, slowpokes! Oak: (VO) When we return... As the two of them close in on the finish line, Tori goes all out as he tries to catch Ash at the last second. Ash: (CC) There’s no way I’m losing this race! Tori: (CC) Ash is as good as mine! Oak: (VO) Which team will win the physical challenge? Then, is there a way to settle the debate over Kari? Tai: I know of one way, but it isn’t going to be pretty. Izzy: You don’t mean? Matt: There’s gotta be another way! * * * * * * * * * * Over at the river rapids portion of the course, the orange team is already well on their way down as the green team rights themselves and starts rowing. Richie: Stroke! We’ve got to catch up! Brock: We’ve got to try! TK: No matter what it takes! As the teams guide their way through the river rapids course, neither team makes a single mistake. As a result, the team of Tracey, Davis, and Joe reaches the end of the course with the same advantage that they had when they begun it. They get out and pull the kayak to shore. Davis looks upstream and sees TK, Brock, and Richie guide their boat through the last part of the rapids. Davis: They’re right behind us! Joe: Stop complaining and help us pull the kayak onto shore! Tracey: Once we do that, it’ll be up to Ash to win it for us. The trio pulls their kayak completely onto shore. Joe runs over and tags Ash, who begins the final sprint to the finish. At the same time, the green team reaches the bottom. TK, Brock, and Richie quickly pull their kayak to shore. Sixteen seconds after Ash had started his run, TK tags Tori, and he takes off down the grassy terrain. Oak: (VO) As the runners begin the sprint portion of the obstacle course, Tori is about sixteen seconds behind. Will that be too big of a distance to make up, or can he come from behind to win? Some of the team members who ran the earlier portions of the course are waiting at the finish line. One hundred and seventy meters before is the crest of a big hill. Ash overcomes it first, still in a dead sprint, though it’s obvious that he is tiring out. Tori appears not too far behind him, and it looks like he is closing the gap. Izzy: Speed up Ash, he’s right behind you! Li: You’d better not lose! Cody: You can do it Tori! Matt: Let’s go! Go Tori! As the two of them close in on the finish line, Tori goes all out as he tries to catch Ash at the last second. Ash: (CC) There’s no way I’m losing this race! Tori: (CC) Ash is as good as mine! With twenty meters to go, Tori is only an arm’s length behind and closing fast. Closing in so fast that in fact he is almost dead even with Ash as the two of them cross the finish line. Ash though has enough momentum that he leans in and beats Tori by a nose... literally. The orange team jumps up and down with glee over the victory. On the other side of the coin, the green team gives Tori a pat on the back for trying. He was so close, yet so far. As the rest of the cast members make their way to the finish line, they react accordingly. The orange team congratulates each other for a job well down. As TK and the others return, they have a look of dejection on their faces. TK: (CC) Basically, we were the ones who blew it. Richie: (CC) If we hadn’t all rushed straight into the kayak at the same time, then we would have won. Cody: (sighs) If I only I would’ve done better on my part. Tenchi: We all were to blame for losing the challenge, not just you. Brock: If just one or two things would’ve gone our way, we would have won. Gary: As much as I hate to admit it, I too struggled on my part. Matt: So much for a happy return to the Digiworld. After a few minutes to gather their stuff, the cast makes their way back to the computer from which they entered the Digiworld from. Ken: It’s too bad we didn’t get a chance to see Wormmon and the others. Tai: I know. I wish we had more time to spend with them. Oak: Don’t worry, you’ll get your chance soon enough. TK: You mean we’re coming back here? Oak: In a few weeks. The Digidestined voice their approval. Cody: I can’t wait for the day that we’ll return here! Davis: I agree. TK pulls out his D-3 and aims it at the monitor. TK: Everybody ready? Digi-port open! After another flash on the screen, the whole cast is transported back to the real world... and back to the mansion. Night Six Tai, Izzy, Matt, Brock, and Tracey are sitting in the dining room. They are currently milling the latest discussion over TK and Kari. Tracey: Honestly, I think we have to put this rivalry of theirs to rest once and for all. Brock: (VO) If these guys want this girl so much, why don’t they just try to impress her in a more gentle way. Because I’m sure she hates both of them right now after their most recent argument. Matt: One way or another, this has to end now! Brock: But how? Tai: I know of one way, but it isn’t going to be pretty. Izzy: You don’t mean? Matt: There’s gotta be another way! Brock: We discussed the option once last night and we dismissed it! Why should we give it another look? Tai: Because I think it’s the only way to go. Look, I’ll talk to Professor Oak in the morning. Hopefully he can get in touch with Kari, and then we can settle this whole mess. Izzy: (sighs) Okay, but I’m warning you Tai. This’ll never work. Tai: If I know Kari, and I should because I’m her brother, this will work. Day Seven Around three o’clock in the afternoon, Tai, Matt, TK, and Davis leave the mansion. They are on their way to Professor Oak’s laboratory to use his videophone to call Kari. Tai: (CC) I called the professor a few hours ago and told him about the situation. He got in touch with Miss McKenzie, who is the host of the girls’ edition of this very show. After they discussed it for a few minutes, the professor called me back and said that it would be okay. Matt: (CC) For all of our sakes Tai, this better work! Davis: Why are we going to Professor Oak’s lab anyway? TK: And why do we have to come? Matt: You’ll see. Tai: (CC) We didn’t tell TK and Davis exactly why they’re with us. We don’t want them to freak out and start up another one of their little arguments. At the laboratory... Oak: (leading the four boys to his living room) I’m glad you four dropped by. Just take a seat here for now. I’ll call up your friend for you. Davis: What friend is he talking about? TK: Is it Gennai? Because we haven’t seen him in awhile, and I was hoping that he would’ve been at the challenge yesterday. Matt: You’ll see. Professor Oak pulls in his portable videophone on a cart. Oak: There’s someone that would like to speak to you. They only have a regular phone though, so you’ll only be able to hear her, not see her. TK: It’s a her? Davis: Who is it? Tai and Matt snicker quietly. Oak: Just give me a minute. Professor Oak dials up a phone number. The foursome looks on intently as the phone on the other end rings. After four rings, someone picks it up. Sasami (whom none of the Digidestined know personally) answers. Sasami: Hello, McKenzie mansion! How may I help you? Oak: Sasami, Professor Oak here. Miss McKenzie told me that I was going to call. Sasami: Oh yes. Do you want me to get her now? Oak: Yes, please get our guest now. Thank you. For two whole minutes, Professor Oak and the four Digidestined patiently wait in silence. Finally, someone picks up on the other end. It’s Kari, who also has no idea of what is about to happen. Kari: (from the videophone) Hello? Davis: Could that be? Oak: Hello! Am I speaking to Miss Kari Kamiya? TK: It’s Kari! Kari: Yes. Davis and Kari begin to rush to the videophone. Oak: I know you don’t know me, but I have a favor to ask of you. Kari: Okay... Suddenly, Kari hears a crash on the other side of the line. It seems that in their haste to get to the phone first, TK and Davis accidentally crash into Professor Oak, sending all three of them sprawling to the floor. (Note: All of the conversation below is conversation given through the telephone.) Kari: What’s going on? Davis: Hey Kari! TK: Davis! I grabbed it first! Davis: Yeah, but who’s the one holding the receiver? Oak: Will you two get off of me! Kari: TK? Davis? What are you doing calling me? TK: We wondering why you didn’t respond to the e-mail we sent you a few days ago? Davis: Yeah! Kari: When did you send it? I haven’t checked my e-mail for a few days. We just got done with a very long challenge last night. We had to stay awake for 48 hours. Davis: Did your team win? Kari: (sighs) No. TK: That’s okay. I know you tried your best. Davis: Of course she did! Did you expect anything less from her? Kari: Look guys, I’m busy. Is there a reason why you called me? TK: Actually, there is. Davis: We just wanted to know something. Kari: Yes? Davis: Which one of us do you like better, me or TX? TK: (slightly annoyed) It’s TK, Davis. Davis: Whatever. Kari: (a little angry) That’s all this is about? Davis: Um... here TD. TK: Why are you handing me the receiver? Kari: I’m already having enough problems here! I’ve only slept a few hours in the past two and a half days! I’m struggling to keep Misty and Sora from tearing each other apart! TK and Davis: (simultaneously) Who’s Misty? Tai: (yelling) What’s going on with Sora? I didn’t hear that too clearly... Kari: (gasps) Tai! You’re there too? Tai: (gulps) Yeah. Matt too. Matt: (at the top of his lungs) Don’t mention me! She’ll be mad at me too! Kari: You bet I’m mad! At all of you! Especially TK and Davis! Davis: Ha ha! She said your name first TB, so she must hate you more! Kari: (angrily) Davis! Will you just shut up! Davis: (squeaks) Sorry. Kari: Don’t ever waste my time like this again! As for TK and Davis, well, I only have one thing to say. Davis: And that is? Kari: I NEVER WANT TO SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN, EVER! With that, Kari hangs up. Back at the lab, Davis and TK are both saddened at Kari’s reaction. Professor Oak is still recovering after being thrown on the floor. As for Matt, well, he’s at Tai’s throat now. Matt: Why did you have to say I was here? Tai: I thought it would do some good to know that we’re here for moral support. Matt: You’re lucky she hasn’t decided to condemn us too! Especially you, since you’re her brother! In addition, you had to open your big fat mouth when she mentioned Sora! Tai: (smirks) So? I still care about her. Besides, I knew you would be too shy to talk to her. Matt: (blushes) The whole idea was to leave this between TK, Davis, and Kari! Where in our discussions did you hear anything about getting us involved? TK: How about getting us involved in your little plan? Tai and Matt turn and see TK and Davis glaring at them. Davis: Thanks a lot, you two! Now Kari hates me! TK: If you hadn’t dragged us into this, she wouldn’t have yelled at us! With that, Davis and TK walk out of the room and towards the front door. TK: (turning around before stepping out) Sorry about running into you earlier, Professor Oak. We didn’t mean it. Davis opens the front door and walks out. TK follows, closing the door behind him. As Tai and Matt gather their things to leave as well, Professor Oak dusts himself off and begins to push the videophone back to its former position. Oak: (coughs) I have some work to do, so I suggest that you two head back up to the mansion. I’ll see you later. With that, Professor Oak pushes the cart out of the room and out of sight. Tai and Matt sigh as they head to the front door. Tai: We really screwed up, didn’t we? Matt: Big time. The duo opens the front door, walks out, and closes it behind them. End Episode Four Oak: (VO) On the next episode... Mrs. Ketchum: Hello! Ash: Mom? Oak: (VO) See what happens when Mrs. Ketchum drops by to spend a day with the boys... Tori: (VO) She kind of reminds me of my mother... when she was still alive. Richie: (shakes hands with Mrs. Ketchum) It’s a pleasure to see you again. Mrs. Ketchum: It’s nice to see you again too, Richie. Tenchi: (CC) I feel guilty about letting Mrs. Ketchum do all the cooking. But she told me to relax, so that’s what I’m going to do. Oak: (VO) Then, have you ever imagined the boys as salesmen? Ash: I’m supposed to be a Pokémon trainer, not a foot warmer salesman! Brock: You know, these aren’t too bad. Ash: (gasps in shock) You mean you’re actually wearing them now? Tai: Come on! How hard can it be to sell candy bars? Richie: Obviously, you’ve never met my parents. Oak: (VO) That’s on the next episode of Roomies... Copyright Date: 5/30/01
